Langdon definitely made the wafl team of the year guys, will find the link in the morning
Ok thanks , as I don't expect Salim to find it. Is not that big deal the kid need to work hard to be elite. Average for a second year player I consider reasonable comment.

Why pick on that blatant troll when Banker/free tara brown and Silent Alarm are still allowed to post. Why not ban all the blatant trolls?

Do you really think Clay is a troll? He might not be everyone's cup of tea but he's right more than he is wrong and I hope he didn't get banned for his posts on here, they were pretty mild.

Coulda you lost your way here
1) not a good idea to compare Tab with Tom Hawks
2) langdon disposal a problem with peel also
3) grey will look great in a team like GWS, where enough good player to compensate his weakness. ( But I don't want to see him go to
Another team, I like the way he play footy especially against softy like jetta )
Grey Reminds me of Stephen hill in a way. He can be damaging with the right players around him. One could imagine how dangerous Stephen Hill would be if he was at the Hawks or Geelong or Sydney

All the mention kids left behind other team kid in term of afl experience, need to work extremely hard in next pre season to close the gap. Crozier also.

I also tend to think Tabs is pretty tuber-like and will actually never be a truly useful KPF at AFL level.

But to say he hasn't developed is seriously weird. He's gone from genuine potato who was so timid he couldn't find a touch and would get bodied out by someone 15kg lighter and 10cm shorter, to someone who actually can take the body and grab a contested mark. He needs to get a lot better, sure, but the progress is there at least.

Not everyone who has an opinion contrary to you is a troll, mate. And free tara brown IS banned.

Again, I implore people to use their ignore list when faced with someone they can't tolerate.

Er what? I have said time and time again, he is not developing at all. The upward trajectory doesn't exist. He is the same player he was at seven games.

Odd timing for a post like that. His last game was clearly streets ahead of anything he was capable of producing in his early days.

I'd written him off a while ago, but he's shown enough lately to make me think I might have been too hasty. Steadfastly clinging to initial judgements in the face of new evidence isn't an admirable trait.

This. It's okay to update preconceptions when they become outdated.

So. Much. This.

At least when Bradesmaen does it it's usually so ridiculous it's kinda funny.

How is David Warner going these days anyway?

I lean towards him still probably not making it but I just find people funny that you get the feeling that even though a player making it at League level would help the team they support they would almost still prefer the player to fail just so they could be vindicated.

A bit different I suppose with the state BS but the cricket board is infamous for this.

Like a lot on here, Tabs use to turn me into a couch punching psycho. Brain fades and marshmallow moments broke me on a weekly basis. His lack of ability and awareness showed he was little more than a stopgap in desperate times. But the last three weeks have changed my mind. He now believes and so im getting on the T train. Confidence in professional sport is 99% of what it takes to be the 1% that makes it. Ride that confidence Matt because if you can, you will become a critical part of linking our team together. To the Tabs haters out there, open up your eyes. Dont be too proud to admit, maybe you got it wrong. This guy is the feelgood story of our year and a major bonus going forward.

I've had a real rollercoaster ride with Tabs. I saw him at pre-season training as a rookie and thought he was the most promising of the batch of talls we had down that year (that was vindicated, the rest are all gone). What initially got me in was his nimble movement for his height and the fact he seemed to do well with ground balls (picking it up and getting it either on to the boot or away by hand). Ok I thought, the kid moves ok and has fast muscle twitch and reasonable coordination.
Eventually I became disillusioned by his inability to mark and poor kicking skills but when he got a chance he did just a couple of things that made me think, ok he has more in the tank. That is he demonstrated that he had a capacity to improve.
Since then there has been at least twice when he has done things so poorly (missed marks or kicked terribly) that I've drawn a line through his name. Both times he has then had a game or more likely a few more moments where once again that capacity to create something out of nothing has me thinking, ok maybe there is more still to come.
The last game against Saint Kilda I actually sat up in my chair a couple of times and thought, wow he is going to be something.

Then again , we got d.pearce, clarke doing exactly the same thing, when you begin to think maybe he is not that bad , and feel sorry for them, they ditch up something worse the next match.

Not quite the same thing. With DP & Clarke there is no question they can play well at the top level. They are just annoyingly inconsistent. Tab is yet to prove he has what it takes to put it all together at AFL level.

If cam Mac come in next season , and Yarran fit , will we turn our frustration back to Tab next season to substitute mayne whipping boy spot. Confident is a weird thing just look at Carlton .
