Too early for Drew IMO.

He was BOG in the first quarter but after that he got really tired.

Have you seen Atley play scotty?

If you have, I have a good idea on his strenghts, but the questions I have are, what's he like with his running forwards to get to a good position when we have the ball? Running back in time before the opposition gets there as well as providing options when we counterattack from the backlines, plus spreading from a stoppage?

Sounds like a lot of questions but they are the bits that have let down some of our fringe players and the role that is up for grabs.

Haven't seen him play live since the preseason games. Of course he is playing mostly midfield and did not really notice good he was on the spread. His strength and decision making looked good. He didn’t have have too much trouble finding the ball. I thought and still think we nailed last year's draft and he will be the good one.

I'd probably still have Atley in ahead of Drew, has been more consistent at SANFL level.

This selection night is too hard to predict, even with Amon being a definite out, it is really hard to pick what they are going to do.

I've been thinking Palmer is a smokey for selection with the Chad, so i'll stick with that but then you've got the strong SANFL form of Monfries, Neade, Atley, Drew, etc to consider.

The great thing is the amount of guys in the two's that are putting their hands up.

But then who goes out.

Sam gray has done well but he is basically reached his ceiling. We're atley is only experience (in games and pre season training) Off s gray level atm . Atley could be our best inside mid in 3 years . Like atlet reaks class and his ceiling to me is a multiple all Australian level .

We need him to get games now for the long haul and our ability to ease the pressure on our current mids bodys . Because like portia said if we keep our current team for the rest if the season and come finals we lose 1 we are in huge trouble

Atley doesn't play the same position. We become a weaker team if we swap the two.

If arch or spp miss, that's when a player like Atley will get an opportunity

Good point about Sam, these are my thoughts too. Imo we are seeing the best of Sam, we should be looking at players with the potential to get better like Ately and Palmer which still have room for improvement. Sam tries hard and is not our worst player but i would not want to go into a final with him, he has a terrible left foot and like in the Showdown he could cost us big time, just my opinion.
