Prediction Changes v Essendon

IN: Palmer, Monfries and Atley
OUT: Young, Toumpas and Sam Gray
With Wingard and Amon both being assessed I'm changing it to.

IN: Wingard, Monfries and 1 of Palmer/Atley/Amon
OUT: Toumpas, Young and S.Gray

I think it will be Wingard for Toumpas though.

The thing is sides that win games as comprehensively as we did on Thursday don't make 3 or more changes as some are suggesting. It will be 2 max.
That win was nothing special. The 2nd half was awful.

I agree with your changes but Ken will bring Wingard & Amon in if fit and drop Toumpas and ?

i dont get this thinking... why make your team stronger, just wait for a loss then do it when its to late
This attitude separates the also rans from the successful club. It runs through Port from selection night, through to our (non-) trading and 'one too many' contracts and overly long contracts. Whether we win, lose or draw, it should always be about can we make the side better?

We actually had the equal highest efficiency inside 50 in Round 11 at 67% - 43 shots from 64 I50s.

The average from the 12 teams for the round was 56.3%.

That said, we were deemed to have had 10 'misses' (i.e. not even a point), which means we could potentially have had multiple shots from a single I50, somewhat inflating our efficiency ranking.

Still, our ability to lock the ball in is encouraging.

might need to add some outside run with Amon not coming back. So Toump may stay in i reckon. That or perhaps a debut for Drew?
Drew definitely isn't an outside runner. I'd be certain he hasn't taken 1 bounce all year and that he's yet to take more than 5 steps before disposal all year.
Drew is a fair distance off for mine. Got a future, but it'll be as an inside mid at the current rate.

Monfries has been playing the Amon role in the SANFL, with small chop outs up forward. Monfries just doesn't have the speed or penetration in his kick that Amon does though. Monfries really for mine needs to be settled up forward in the SANFL so he's ready to replace Young/S Gray when the time comes.

I'm going to say it. I rate sam gray. And no I don't mean when he's in the midfield. I like him in the role he's playing. I think his positives outweigh the few brain fades he has in games. He becomes a bit of a scape goats when our team as a whole underperforms.

I think we'd make our team structure worse replacing him with Atley, drew, or even Amon who should only come in when a spot opens up in the midfield.

I do think we should bring in monfries. But at youngs expense, not gray.

Neade has had his chances and failed. It's a rarity when he gets 20+ disposals or kicks more then 1 goal.
I felt like Neade copped the brunt of what was essentially the worst FWD set up, the same setup where Charlie Dixon failed too and with Charlie flourishing now being a main target instead of Neade it can only help his game.

But that's just my take.

More likely just chad for Toumpas then...

I have a feeling it'll be Wingard in for Young.
