Wingard can play midfield and can switch with Ah Chee who will play mostly up forward. Toumpas will play on the wing, why is this hard to understand?

That was understood, but the idea is rubbish. Toumpas will be too slow for the wing against a decent side on a fast track.

Looking at Lade's interview during the week they were obviously happy with the way Toumpas played his role so no real surprise.
Was never going to be more than Wingard in after winning last week. Young was probably our worst last week.

I disagree. Amon had 3 games this year better than Toumpas had last week, most notably against Sydney in Round 1. But not the best example, I'm not a massive Amon fan. Would rather most of the players I quoted to both Toumpas and Amon. Toump's disposal is just far too poor for AFL level. If we wanted someone with high, inaccurate loopy kicks, we could have kept Kane Mitchell.

I'm not disagreeing with your opinion on his skills or ability. I'm disagreeing because Toumpas has been in red hot form and that form is being fairly rewarded. This is likely to be the high point of his career before being delisted this year, but for the moment whilst he is playing at this level, and outperforming all those players you mentioned, it's pretty fair he gets a game.

Both are being played out of position in SANFL level -

Monfries will play when a forward pocket position that Gray or Impey hold opens up.

Toumpas is playing because a wing position has been opened up in the absence of Amon.

As long as we maintain our structures and keep holding the ball in our forward like we have, it's all good.

Still would like to see another marking forward though, just insurance for Charlie.
I am not worried about selections any more while we are winning, my main concerns are for our big men. What happens if Ryder goes down, Trengove will be expected to ruck and in the last quarter against GWS he was stuffed and it showed. No Ryder and we are in trouble and Charlie would be difficult to cover also.

I would play Monfries Palmer AJ even Bonner ahead of toumpas. Wingard and Boak can play on the outside/wing a little more and have which ever you choose fall into the position that suits them/the team. If toumpas proves me wrong good on him but I think it is a terrible decision to keep him in this week.
