So Toumpas is basically ahead of Monfries atm... ROFL.

I really am starting to think Monfries is being punished by Ken for Impey's indiscretion at the start of pre season.
Apparently Monfries is on the outer for having too many parties. Probably a BS rumour though.

Fair enough. We'll agree to disagree. I think he's a mile off. Young, Palmer, Atley, White, Neade, Monfries, Austin, Howard, Houston, Bonner, Eddy, Lobbe, Krak & Lienert would all be clearly ahead of him in terms of getting a game.

This is how to undo any good work in justifying your opinion as being sound and logical

Still want to see Eddy and/or Monfries in the team but this is a pretty strong side.

Young needed to be dropped and Toumpas deserves another go. You don't drop guys after one game.

Happy with the change.

Toumpas started nervously, but was good for much of the night and deserved another game, while Young has been poor basically all year and needs to find form in the SANFL. Not sure why people are melting about any of this.

You could argue Monfries instead of Toumpas, but with the form they're both in, it's neither here nor there for mine.

Anyone (PAFC66, for example) putting Johnson's name forward needs to pay more attention to SANFL form.

Really disappointing the backwards step Young has taken this year though. He started showing some elite traits last year, with an ability to win contests and create opportunities out of nowhere.

Unfortunately instead of continuing that trend he now joins the long list of fringe players that we've seen glimpses from one year before they fall away the next year.

We desperately need to start turning some of these fringe players into something special or we'll never go anywhere. S Gray, Young, AhChee, Toumpas, etc. We need to turn this group into consistent AFL players. Do that and we're a shot at the big show.

Sort of agree.

It's taken 8-10 games for Kern to let in Arch and Dimitri. You'd need at least two games poorly to be dropped.

What did I miss? Monfries got his car hit because of Impey? Shouldn't Impey still be in the SANFL and Monfries in the AFL?

Could be toumps last chance to show something, isn't he out of contract at the end of this year? Checked on footywire yet it says "unconfirmed" on the contract status..

Still only 23 years old as well.

Yep out of contract.

Ah Chee has improved this year. Sam Gray has been asked to play a different role than the midfield one he was good at. The jury is still out on Toumpas.

Agreed re: Young though. I like the guy and thought he was going to have a big year. Wasn't the same after being ridden like a rodeo bull in the Showdown.

4 clangers across half back leading to directly to Hawthorn scores. Watch it again.
Leading directly to Hawthorn scores you say?

So this GIF below, which shows Toumpas, in the first quarter, kicking the ball out on the full, somehow directly lead to Luke Breust kicking Hawthorn's first score 9 minutes into the second term? Get a clue, mate.

Hard to convince a bloke with no eyes.
