Was at this game, And if any of you know Etihad at least back then the coaches would go down the elevator from level 2 to level 1 and then walk through the crowd to get onto the ground.

Anyway... My dad and I left our seats late in the last to go to where Knights was going to walk out to see the reaction of our supporters, The amount of security around that area would make an A league game blush, The abuse Knights copped was something I will never forget, Lucky the security had the numbers they did because it could've been the ugliest moment in our history.(Drug jokes noted)

So Essendon fans wanted the lynch our coach because Le cras kicked 12?

Really?

WOW!!!

OK just to put an end to any potential melt downs if JK doesn't play this is how we should line up forward.

FF Ryan Lycett Le cras

HF Cripps Waterman Rioli

We bring in McInness to rotate through CHF FF and also pinch hit. McInness possiby could add some height down back.

Brander if he stays in plays from the bench, hell play him in defense possibly instead of Schofield as we looked unbalanced last Friday down back.

Worst case scenario

Out: Kennedy (anything from a knee knock to a broken leg)
In: Hutchings

B: Hurn, McGovern, Cole
HB: Duggan, Sheppard, Jetta
C: Gaff, Shuey, Masten
HF: Rioli, Brander, LeCras
F: Ryan, Waterman, Lycett
R: Naitanui, Redden, Yeo
I: Nelson, Cripps, Sheed, Hutchings
E: McInnes, Ollen, Ah Chee, Ainsworth

We've got enough forwards as it is, and McInnes who hasn't kicked an AFL goal in two years isn't going to be the difference between winning and losing. Use Lycett forward more, use Ryan as a target, actually look to Brander once in a while. That'll help cover the loss of Kennedy.

If it's a wet night as expected it'll be tailor-made for Hutchings.

If we didn't play a second key defender against Buddy we don't really need one on a wet night against Shaun McKernan and whoever else Essendon pick. No change to the backline if Barrass is unavailable.

Sheed survives only because all the other smalls played on Saturday, he should be on notice.

Suggestions McInnes comes in seem surprising. Where is Vardy at? Would rather him unless he's seriously out of form? Still, feel like he'd offer more at AFL level than McInnes going on history.

Essendon will be smelling blood in the water with our injury issues.

I am expecting the most aggressive and physical Bombers of the year to come out Thursday to challenge us.

Going to be interesting to see who stands up under this type of adversity.

Agree mostly. Ah Chee would also be an option as a mid-sized target who can mark. If it's wet, are you sure JB would give us more? What not go with Jakey Waterman at FF and a Richmond-style forwardline?

I think Simmo mentioned that those who played in the EP game wouldn't front up on Thursday, due to the short turnaround.

3rd game back as a ruck forward at East Perth after groin injury. Playing ok but only has 2 goals from 3 games. Plus 5 day break is against him. McInnes got held out of East Perth so pretty likely it will be him if Kennedy doesn't get up.

From memory McInnes went ok last time he played earlier in the season against the Western Bulldogs as was reported on that day played the best game of his career and was extremely unlucky to get dropped the following week. I understand Vardy is not ready yet as is still a bit underdone coming back from recent injury?

That’s the answer given it’s cold and wet let’s go with smalls in the forward line and complete

Big big worry this game. That last quarter against SK will have the Bombers thinking. With their pace we cant afford to give them a sniff.

Essendon are also missing two key midfield members in Zaharakis and Parish.

Even with Heppell and Smith back they’re pretty light on in there.

Hutchings should tag Merrett out of it reasonably well. Merrett is a bit like Mitchell. Will still get it but shouldnt have that much impact.

Or even Heppell who cant handle a tag.
