I like all your statistics but.....

Think it’s time Liam Ryan takes LeCras spot and Mark gets a rest or WAFL

Hutchings in as his game effort is inspirational and he can at least neutralise a troublesome opposition player

Barrass for Nelson is an obvious

Petrol (or AhChee if Chaddy22 saw the WAFL game) for Masten. Just think we need some fast enthusiasm that can speed off from contests and not waste his kick. For me Petrol is that man. Big fan. Put him in. Kicks goals too.
Thank god you are not on the match committee

guys do we packed it for this season then? injuries are getting us. We have peaked too early
None are season ending injuries and we will.likely have both JK (wait and see on prognosis) and Darling back in time for the GWS game as well as Barrass and Venables.
You drop your bundle at the slightest of setbacks. Lucky our team arent as mentally fragile as you.

You w***er I wake up in the morning, have a quick check of big footy, only to see this ugly mug. Just about vomited in my coffee.

We probably wont get any inclusions from the wafl since it will be a 5 day break.

People who don't want Hutchings in this week, would love to hear why you wouldn't want him in to tag?

Their prime movers in the midfield this year are Zerrett and Heppell (not sure on his fitness this week after concussion) - both have struggled to break a tag or to lift under close attention this year.

Other than these two there's mostly yoof picking up the slack, other than some honest triers in Myers and Devon Smith.

For most matches I'm pretty keen to back Sheed's development over Hutch, even if he stinks it up a bit sometimes. But the benefits of shutting down one of their better mids this week is wayyy too promising to pass up.

Yep. You should give up on this season and start following the rugby.

Yep, definitely. This season is a wasted one now. We should put all players with injuries & niggles in cotton wool with a view to having them 100% for the start of preseason, to give it a real crack in 2019. Also we should probably just shut down the whole club, because it feels like almost every season that we get a couple of injuries. Also I think the whole AFL should probably cease operations because it feels like most other clubs go through the same thing as us, and therefore each season there are zero clubs with a chance of even making any real noise in the finals let alone winning a flag. Also we should probably all just kill ourselves because there is no joy at all in life.

Geez thats seriously negative.

We are going perfectly.

When I was playing we won a heap of flags in a row and came runners up in a couple more. We had a bit of a plan. Preason go hard and start the season off going hard. Win enough game by half way to sit top two. In the middle of the year over Christmas we would lose a few players and we would load up with eight weeks with an extra running session mid week. We would over that period lose a few but start peaking again a month prior to finals.

So you aim to peak in the first third and last third of the season.

Eagles should aim to do the same and with injury lay offs to some key players if these guys get back 6 weeks from finals we can aim to peak in September.

This is our injury list:

Hamish Brayshaw (knee) test - Played on the weekend
Jack Darling (ankle) 5 weeks
Malcolm Karpany (ITB friction) TBA
Eric Mackenzie (toe) test - Played on the weekend
Tony Olango* (ankle) test - Played on the weekend
Daniel Venables (ankle) 2-3 weeks

That is 3 on the injury list and a sore JK with only one of those as a best 22 with Venners on the fringe.

As long as we dont get any more injuries we should look good heading into the finals.

Shuey and Ryan looked rusty as hell but which is no surprise as they not played for a while ( Shuey 5 and Ryan 8) but they should be better for it.

Tag Merrett and Yeo goes head to head v Heppel

That's an exceptionally good injury list. The only issue are the injures to our KPP. Should get Darling back soon enough.

So Thursday is projected to be a wet one. If it is then we might get away with resting Kennedy if he needs it. Rain/ wet will limit both side's ability to take grabs, so guys like Rioli, Ryan and Cripps become more influential.

Note to self: if still alive, wear padding on both the face and the palm on Thursday night to minimise effects of self-concussion.

I know. I felt dirty writing that too. But if we are going to win sans-Kennedy then Cripps needs to pull his socks up.
