Any chance for Mackenzie to come in?

If we play McGovern forward McKenzie and Schofield covert down back?

I'm not sure where emac is in terms of his recovery

Sucks to have so many lower leg injuries.
Any chance it's the ground at Optus?

At least it's not losing them for finals.
E-Mac barely got through a game at East Perth. He is no chance. Rotham has more chance. Needs a month in the WAFL at least.

I think it will be McInnes for JK given he was held out of the East Perth game but I really would prefer MAllen. Not sure if his fitness would be up to it though as I seem to remember he is only back a couple of weeks (?) from injury and played on the weekend. He just seems like a more potent forward option (based on nothing) other than Frase never has been.

Would like to see Ah Chee for Sheed (who is out of form) and playing him in the midfield. But can't see it happening given he played on the weekend. Likely Hutch for Sheed though.

Shoey for Nelson (unlucky).

I would stick with Brander given our injuries and see how he goes. We don't really have any better options given we have to replace JK anyway and he will learn a lot at least. Also, hate to drop a young bloke after 1 game.

Mellen hasn't missed any games for East Perth so far this season (touch wood).

The darling injury really hurts. Looked more potent when Kennedy was out. Less Keneddy centric gameplan.

Now with both out...let the melts / sky is falling begin.

You all know who you are, ALL of you.

Cool. Thanks. Not sure why I thought he had. Would like to see what he can do. It's kind of now (or the next week or two) or never for him (unless they successfully turn him into a defender). He has been on the list a while and a big lad, so should be right to go. But think it will be McInnes.

A cursory review of his career WAFL stats shows that McInnes has never kicked more than 4 goals in a game at either colts, reserves or league level.

He may be brought in to allow Slyce to play permanent forward but I’d much prefer Mallen to come in. A more natural forward it would seem and has a 5 goal bag this year for EP.

McInnes is also a known quantity. Would rather have a look at Allen and decide whether he’s worth keeping or delist at season end.

I haven't seen any melts whatsoever. There is a legitimate concern that 2 of the best forwards IN THE GAME is missing from our lineup and it definitely showed last week (JJK on one leg)

2nd highest goalkicker for East Perth behind Maginness (14) and in front of Brander 11. Interestingly McInnes is no. 4 with 10. Guess Mcinnes gets the game because he can play in the ruck. goalkicking east perth 200618.png

They'll bring in McInnes to help Nic Nat and swing Lycett down forward

Also he's 25 next month, has been on an AFL list for seven years and our forward line already potentially includes four guys who only debuted this year.

He may stick around next year as injury cover or he may seek a trade. But getting Brander and Oscar Allen in the draft has kind of stamped his papers as far as playing in the senior team.

Well you'd think so, but he's played one game already this year and is now in the mix for a second.

He wouldn't be in my 22 for tomorrow night but you can see why the match committee would prefer him over Allen. He's a bit more of an experienced body to throw in when we've got a glut of youngsters in that part of the ground.

Now that JK is out for multiple weeks we need to play those who will most likely hold their spot and potentially add depth come finals.

M Allen has been playing back lately in the WAFL. He certainly adds flexibility plus a more mature body. Would certainly be better equipped physically.

Would like to see Nic, Ryan and Rioli playing deep forward at some stage. If it is wet those crumbing players will be very important

I like MAllen due to the fact he can run and tackle better than McInnes and Vardy. Optus is too big to have McInnes / Vardy, Lycett and NN

Just need to be able to crash a pack and not let the ball get run out of defence

Absolutely. Giles stayed around and he ultimately is an assistant coach now. I think he would be more serviceable than Vardy off a 5-day break or a kid like Matty Allen or Oscar Allen. When Matty Allen is kicking a few goals a game consistently he will get a chance.

Feel like the decision was made Sat morning when McInnes was left out. Think M. Allen is zero chance of playing.

But I do have a solid track record of guessing very wrong when it comes to team selections.

And based on Brander last week and the other debuts we've had this season, if either of the Allens was going to play tomorrow I think we'd know about it by now.

Simmo on JK- “He might be right for next week, so it’s that small. The leg still hasn’t settled down from the weekend, so that’s the reason why we’re really making him unavailable. But we’ve got to let everything heal.”

Well not exactly spot on, he said it was a six week injury, but yeah he was closer to the mark than we wanted to believe.
How long JK is out remains to be seen. Form past performance, if Simmo says it is up to 3 weeks it could well be up to 6...

We might owe this guy an apology
All good Miguel, I,m a footy fan first and foremost,i am fortunate enough to be privy to have people i know in the footy world, a troll and some random magpie flog a long last. i hope !, people wanting a source is not going to be forthcoming, they trust me and i will never betray that trust,an AFL footy club will always have its vested interests prioritised to its major stakeholders,, ie, sponsors , major corporate backers first and foremost,,influential coterie groups, and brand image, the humble club members and supporters will be the last to be told the truth if it is negative in any way, or what is not deemed to be meeting the expectations of the passionate masses, all the best to the Coasters, and yourself,
see you guys at the G in a few weeks time

Surely you'd be dumb to travel interstate on a broken leg, regardless of how bad it is?
