It's a fair stat to call out. I'd argue it's pretty unfair though to lump CD in with the other 3. We're talking one of the best users in the competition, alongside arguably 3 of the worst. Dunkley has improved his disposal massively this season, but is still below average (maybe average at a push) while Macrae's efficiency seems to have gone downhill. Hunter has always had dogshit disposal.

I know it's a massive no-no on this board to suggest trading elite players, but how viable is it long term to have Dunkley, Macrae and Hunter all along the centre line at once? With these 3 often collectively racking up close to 100 disposals in a game, it's no wonder we struggle to convert thanks to the terrible entries. Having a Hill/Smith in Hunter's place, or a McLean actually playing in the midfield, could improve us in this area immensely, but would require some tough decisions that carry enormous risk. You simply don't go putting up players like Dunkley, Macrae and Hunter up for trade, and generally tell clubs to get ****ed if they ask, but at the very least I think it's important to explore new roles for these guys.

Personally, I've always wondered what Macrae would be like at half back as a high production interceptor. The problem with that is that you're taking one of the best midfielders in the competition and putting him in an unnatural position

Especially Hunter who is top 20 in the league in inside 50s, but no where near in goal assists or score involvements. It's pretty damning. I don't feel like it would be so much of a problem if we had players to complement their skill set. Guys like Hill and Martin, who are far better users on the outside, could really help to cover the deficiencies and stop us having to rely on Dunks and Hunter supplying our forwards. Dunkley and Macrae are both contracted until 2022, while Hunter is 2024, so obviously the club has these guys at the forefront of our future plans. I just hate seeing us rely on such poor users.

Also just thought I'd put it out there - Daniel and JJ being well down these lists for scoreboard impact makes sense to me considering their roles being down the other end of the ground. Although I would like to see JJ improve in this area given our reliance on his run and carry. But again, adding Hill to the side would really help to address that over-reliance on JJ for us to fire

Score involvements are if you have a possession in the chain that ends up in a score, correct? That is damning on Caleb Daniel. So he gets it to a player safely but those players might not be in advantageous positions??

You'd imagine Caleb is coached to play that way, because I've seen him kick accurately over longer distances. As above, he links with the midfield and they've got to provide the scoring shots. You can't expect him to reach the forwards from 100m away.
