Since we last beat Essendon..

Not even kidding; we last beat Essendon in 2016 right?

This Getty photo of Wardlaw marks him as "13 year old George Wardlaw". Depending on dates, that might line up.

All of this is to say... Wardlaw might have actually been at the game the last time we beat Essendon;

Out: Logue (inj.), Darling (rest), Simpkin, Dov/Konstanty (think it'll be Dov rested)
In: Dawson/Whitlock/Corr (will probably be Corr), Hardemann, Wardlaw, Spargo/Banch

I think Simpkin being dropped early after what happened is highly unlikely from a coach-players relationship point of view.
Move Daniels out of defense up the ground.
There's arguments for Dawson as 2m Peter matchup and backup ruck or Whitlock in and Bath down back, but I suspect it will be Corr that comes in as Clarko will learn towards experience in a must win game.

Depends if 2m Peter is playing imo
you don't think they'll play him?
He's their second ruck, and with Blakiston struggling and facing a big bodied brute in X this week, I suspect Wright might spend more time in the ruck.

Because we recruited him for the job and he should be ready to grab the spot?
Sounds good in theory. But the reality is that he isn't ready. Had a very ordinary pre-season.
History lends itself to Corr needing 5 or 6 games to get into the groove. Trembath is our second ruck, dont see him getting thrown down back. If not for that them maybe.
He got sent down back last week and did alright.
Perhaps Goad gets a look to allow that to happen. Still unlikely imo.
Goad is even less ready than Dawson.

Goad is even less ready than Dawson.

Not fully sure I agree with this.

Based on what i saw this preseason before Goad's got injured, I reckon Goad's body is more AFL-ready than Dawson's;

A buddy of mine (Bombers supporter) and I have decided to go to a pub. He suggested we drink a shot every time there is a skill error. This is likely my last game.
Maybe pre book a stomach pumping :P

I agree. My point was that Goad is further away from playing seniors than Dawson, because he is months behind in match fitness.

I feel that footysmarts-wise, Goad is well ahead of Dawson. I have never really gotten the buzz around Dawson. Seems slow on the uptake of the game.

I think you're heading toward the likely outcome. Obviously one forced change, and yes, I reckon they'll go with Corr for the experience - there's three talls to match up on, Wright, Caddy and Langford. Caddy's clearly the most dangerous and Corr would be first choice, followed by Pink if it goes wrong.

Wardlaw and Hardeman have to come in; if Daniel goes forward, that's Hardeman's spot - personally I'd give Dovaston a rest (unforced errors through dropped chest marks is hard to plan around). Konstanty continues to work hard, the neat goal will help his confidence and bottom line, he plays the pressure part of pressure half forward.

Who goes out to make way for Wardlaw is the puzzle for me

Corr in scares me! Not going to be great no matter what we do, but I’d go Pink on Caddy, Comben on Wright and Lmac on Langford.

Then out Logue for Hardeman
Dov/Kont out for Wardlaw. Wardlaw can play 50 percent pressure fwd / mid split and reduce Powell’s minutes in and under

Now that Trembath’s shown he can chop out in ruck, especially against a side with such depleted ruck stocks as Essendon, perhaps Darling?
