This is why we are in a precarious situation.

Coach and board tethered, coach coaching for their life at the moment. Unlikely to be making decisions in the long term interest of the football club.

No long term planning really evident.

We invested a massive amount in Dawson and Whitlock at the draft...

Nothing wrong with letting both develop at VFL, key position takes time and neither are ready for AFL football yet.

Surprise to me. Do Essendon even have a forward line that demands this kind of panic? Bringing in a player that has barely got out of a trot since 2024 is just a nothing decision IMO. Game will be won and lost in the midfield and transition from back - neither of which Corr, nor indeed Dawson most likely - would do anything to change the balance.
