Received notification saying North veteran axed. Prayed beyond all hope it was McDonald for Hardeman. Even Simpkin dropped would have been palatable. Both of them to remain and Hardeman not named. Very, very disappointing and massive opportunity lost for match committee. I would imagine plan at beginning of season was that Darling would be rested for a number of games so not overly surprising. Would loved to have seen Whitlock instead of CCJ however. Can’t see CCJ offering us anything. Hope he proves me wrong.

Oh FFS noooo not CCJ!!!

How in hell does a third rate footballer in Ccj get a game honestly I think we have just about given up

There's a much higher, almost certain chance that Darling bounces back after one bad week than there is of CCJ having his first decent game for us in well....ever.

Firstly, I don’t like the team selection and can’t believe after last week; that the coaches possibly came to the conclusion that picking an even slower side was the answer.

In saying that, people losing their minds about Darling being dropped, must have forgot how he moved last year off short breaks. Against Essendon last year he physically could not move, smart choice leaving him out.

Trembath will play as the 2nd forward and CCJ will ruck 20% of the game and that is it, I highly doubt we see a 3 tall forward line. Personally would have played Whitlock as the 3rd or even Zane.

Caleb Daniel is playing forward and it is why JK is out, Daniel had 11 tackles last week, I don’t think a small forward at North has had 11 tackles in a season, so let’s cue the outrage on that. He was fantastic albeit in a small sample size last week.

With darling being out; the pressure is on Zurhaar and Curtis to actually apply pressure and not play like Key position players, if the ball transitions with ease out of our I50, then it is on those 2 and Dovaston who is the only genuine small forward selected.

Corr over Hardeman is mind boggling, we are the slowest team in the comp at exiting D50, cannot believe Corr is in when LMac could have played 3rd tall and Hardeman slots straight in as a small/medium defender who can rebound.

We have rolled the dice at selection; gone slow, experienced and picked a few guys who are 100% under done in Corr, Wardlaw and CCJ, however let’s hope we can massively get hold of them in the ruck/contest and then we can review on Sunday.

No idea.

My own pure speculation is that Blamires/Hardeman are competing for the same spot.
Makes 0 sense seeing how slow we move the ball out of D50. The days of Lmac playing the small defender role are surely over, play him as a 3rd tall and get some extra run through Hardeman, Blamires and Kerch.
