For mine -

Out:
Logue (inj)
Comben (susp)
Konstanty (shit)

In:
Wardlaw
Hardeman
Dawson

Dawson to Wright
Daniels forward to replace Konstanty
Hardeman half back to replace Daniels

Left field option would be to bring CCJ in instead of Dawson, Trembath back (he looked ok there at times yesterday with his agility and leap), CCJ can then pinch hit in the ruck instead of Trembath
Why under the clear blue sky should Comben get suspended? wtf. The guy ran at him. He was protecting himself. See Pendlebury rule.

Dawson was really good on Darcy when given the opportunity so im not sure why people think Caddy of all people who go to town on him?

Caddy hasnt exactly burst onto the scene.
Caddy is way more athletic than Dawson.

Almost worth trying Whitlock on him.

Did you watch the game yesterday? He did it multiple times, and the commentators even called him out on it.

What are we doing here...

Did you watch the incident?

Comben did a double close fisted push/jab to the head and he went down like a sack of shit that made him look like a bitch. And then he stayed down.

He not that type of guy. Flopping sure, but that wasn’t a flop. Harley would be completely embarrassed he got sorted like that.

We will be lucky with 1 week, I’m expecting 2, tbh.

Reid is a mouthy grub, but Charlie turned, caught him by surprise and flushed him in the head. Clearly in the right spot, Harley isn’t soft and it clearly rattled him.

Anyone who thinks he’s not having a holiday is kidding themselves.

If anyone goes and watches them train this week, Id love to know if there is any intensity or if its all silliness and social media games.

Surly this week has to be mouth guards to training stuff if we are serious.

There was nothing lacking in intensity last Friday. Just left it there, unfortunately.

Reid doesn’t tend to flop and be made to look like a bitch on national TV.

Yes he does.

How exactly was he trying to milk a free for an incident after a goal, after the siren?

He was down holding his jaw and head for almost a minute, which started a melee.

Comben got him one and considering a gut punch is 1 week, will most definitely go for it.

Reid ran flat out at Comben and had his elbow out to hit him in the gut. Comben stood still and put his arms out to protect himself. Watch the video and you can see Reid swinging his elbow at Comben when he impacts him.

He'll probably get suspended but he shouldn't because he didn't move and Reid charged him, after the siren, trying to hit him.

He flops, but he doesn’t flop and stay down like he’s just been handled. Was my point.

That rattled him and I’ve watched enough of him to know you only rattle him in that scenario if you have absolutely flushed him.

Comben should get off but we have shit lawyers and AFL hates us so 3 weeks.

4 really obvious changes. Really obvious ones.

OUT: Logue Simpkin Konstanty Dovaston
IN: Dawson Wardlaw Hardeman Banch

B: Daniel Dawson Pink
HB: Parker Comben Hardeman
C: Stephens Davies-Uniacke Blamires
HF: Banch Darling Zurhaar
F: Curtis Larkey Trembath
R: Xerri Wardlaw Sheezel
I: McKercher FOS McDonald Powell Duursma

See Law 271.3 (f) (iv) section 263

Any North Melbourne player shall be suspended for any contact whatsoever whether or not it causes injury or not. Note that the same contact from any player from any other club will not be cited.

If there is no such law to allow suspension, the AFL will be within its legal rights to create a new law to suspend said player. Note that this ruling will also be removed should any player from any other club commit the same offence.

Just remember Maynard ending a career then winning a flag .Cripps knocking out someone winning a Brownlow . We commit frivolous, incidental acts , 2 weeks . @ AFL aren’t corrupt lol.
PS Last time we played Ess. Curtis was rubbed out. One of the worst decisions in the history of the game , for just a footy act.

Energy sapping day, hotly contested game, coming back from Perth into a 6-day turnaround.

I think there needs to be plenty of fresh legs brought in (Banch, RHJ, Wardlaw, Hardeman all front of the queue).

Statement must be made at selection.

Dropping Simplin, The Happy Gimp and Konstanty.

Starting Darling, Daniels and Zurhaar on the bench/extended squad.

Enough of this status quo shit
Agreed.

Out blamires, in hards.
Search your feelings, you know it to be true

Out: Logue (inj.) Comben (susp.) Simpkin Dovaston
In: one tall—Aidan Corr if he's fit? Dawson? Whitlock? Hardemann RHJ Wardlaw

Need more run, need Wardlaw in the guts, rotate RHJ, Duursma and Blamires on Simpkin's wing, he has to be made an example of.
McKercher, Hardemann and Blamires (lucky to stay in) give us run out of the backline.

Mids are X, LDU, Sheez, FOS, Wardlaw, Powell. That's it. Parker if desperate.

Bring pressure and run both ways and we will get it done. Even think about the bath-watery millionaires type football we played early in the second quarter and it will be horrific.

Biggest game for the club in Clarko's tenure. I'm picking up some truly existential shit on here, people genuinely thinking we might have been better off on the Gold Coast etc. People trying to persuade themselves Xerri had a bad game. We didn't work hard enough and Clarkson made dumb, cute moves – and then no moves – against a hungry side that got very physical after we put our feet up after getting out to a 5 goal lead.

With that said: this is a must-win, and it is now probably the most important game of the Clarkson era. Saturday night, 10 year hoodoo, against a side that we simply must have covered. Win and people will settle. Lose and Good Friday becomes existential for Clarkson.

OUT: Logue Simpkin Konstanty
IN: Corr Wardlaw Hardeman

  • If Dawson is not ready, keep building him. Corr can take the hits.
  • Simpkin needs to realise he is playing for his own relevance to the team, not for a contract in Collingwood.
  • If Comben get's rubbed out (he shouldn't) he should get a haircut. That Napoleon Dynamite hair makes him look like a buffoon.
  • I want to stick with Dovaston. He hasn't set the world on fire yet, but he's popping up in good places. He'll be good.

I said in last weeks changes thread that we should have played Wardlaw and Hardeman and rested some of the older blokes from the Perth heat and the 5 day travel turn around time to front up Saturday night.

Well we phoned it in and all the older players stunk it up big time (Darling, Parker, McDonald).
Eagles kids did the job and we should have played more leg speed and younger bodies.

This club doesn't have the campaigner about it that it once did. Indecisive and lacks conviction.

Dawson on Darcy is becoming a thing of legend. It was hardly Martyn stitching up Modra in the Ansett Cup final type of stuff. He nudged him under the ball a couple of times. Woohoo.

Essendon will do us by at least 15 but it could get really nasty.

Like us, they enjoy reckless frontunning but 11 years in a row show they do it ever so slightly better.

We then set the stage for the annual "should they keep Good Friday?" debate linking on-field results with blockbusters which is a media criteria restricted entirely to North Melbourne.
