Caleb is a staple now in our North diet . Will be a lot of gnashing of teeth during the yr I suspect lol

He needs to be forced out, until that happens he stays. First step is getting Hardeman and Blamires working together. That's 2 spots. McDonald is our flexible 7th. I hope that Goater becomes the other but at this stage we wait.

I've calmed down a bit since last night, and I know we've all been conditioned to expect the worst, but I really do believe that we're going to win this game comfortably.

I keep looking at that Essendon list, and I don't see how they beat us. The only way that we lose this is if we're outworked and outcoached.

FOS simply has to run with Merrett this week. Merrett has been BOG just about every time we've played them. If we can hold him, then I'm not sure what else we're worried about.

Would love Goater to become injury free ,he is exactly what we need . Not sure it will ever transpire though.

l wouldnt mind adding B.George onto that also just to see if when he's injury free what all the hype was about in getting him.

Reid doesn’t tend to flop and be made to look like a bitch on national TV.

How exactly was he trying to milk a free for an incident after a goal, after the siren?

He was down holding his jaw and head for almost a minute, which started a melee.

Comben got him one and considering a gut punch is 1 week, will most definitely go for it.
Reid doesn't tend to flop? He went down like a ****ing sack of potatoes yesterday mate. Clearly looking for a 50. It wasn't the Comben incident, it was a separate one

He was in our bests today. And in our bests week one.

Be serious. Caleb Daniel is far from perfect but he's also very ****ing far from the biggest of our problems so far this year.
5 turnovers in the back half is an issue, especially when most of his possies are uncontested. He is costing us goals, I can’t wait until a fit Hardeman pushes him out and we won’t have to worry about him kicking to a 3 on 1 to turn it over ever again.

He looks a lot better forward of the centre square.

Just remember Maynard ending a career then winning a flag .Cripps knocking out someone winning a Brownlow . We commit frivolous, incidental acts , 2 weeks . @ AFL aren’t corrupt lol.
PS Last time we played Ess. Curtis was rubbed out. One of the worst decisions in the history of the game , for just a footy act.
And somehow it wasn't even our most ****ed suspension last year

How comfortable are you in that prediction? Are you as comfortable as the people who predicted a walkover yesterday? They were pretty comfortable. Also, where's that British nationalist Adelaide campaigner. I've got some basic North principles to teach him

We have a plethora the most in the competition. Who could ever forget Ziebell against Carlton , The Log v the Hawks (playing Blues the next week lol).Archer’s one as well . Plenty more too

I'm more confident this week than I was last week. West Coast had a few things going for them, in regard to the conditions, their height up forward (exacerbated by Logue being injured), and their number of big bodies on ball. I wasn't really familiar with Murdock ahead of the game, but he added to a dangerous fleet of smalls that exposed another one of our weaknesses.

Essendon on the other hand I don't see where they're going to get on top of us.

Apart from Merrett, who are we worried about? In theory maybe they have better outside runners, but that side of their game hasn't been there for them this year.

If we lose it'll be due to coaching and intent. I'd put our list up against their list any day of the week.

As opposed to the last 10 years when they've fronted up with their All Australian grade side?

If the team that managed 1 win last year can bowl us over we're easy pickings for anyone.

Plus unlike WC we'll probably give ourselves a nice "and we had to travel last week" out for a loss too.

The result of this one actually doesn't matter.

We lose, it's normal programming; they keep their streak.

We win, it'll be because the opposition play like Port did. Uninterested, error prone, allowing us to dictate tempo. What does a win like that teach us about ourselves? Absolutely nothing. What aspects of our fickleness does it challenge? Absolutely none

Look, until we prove we can stop other teams momentum during games regularly . We did quite well against Port Rd 1 doing this, but rd 1 is often an aberration lol.
I am never overly confident who we play .

Good point. It goes back to something I've brought up a few times as to why we're expecting anything different this year with the same list and the same coach.

But for this week at least I'm confident. If we lose I'll transition into full tear the club down mode, but my gut tells me that we win this comfortably.
