You didn't think he'd replace Logue with another key back?
I don't think I'd replace Logue with a key back that hasn't played any useful football for over 12 months.

Either way I doubt it matters. We have the firepower to beat this team if we bother to run / work hard from the middle and have decent transition (cough Hardeman). If we don't do that and allow a barrage of i50's then they could replace Logue with the Weapon X version of Matt Scarlett and it wouldn't matter.

Just handing the game to * if we pick a 32 year old with a chronic calf over a kid who deserves a chance in Dawson.
I might be in the minority but I'd prefer Corr over Dawson. Will copped some hidings last year and hasn't shown much this year to suggest he's earned a recall.

Having said that, I'd probably rather Bath / Matlock behind the ball.

Surprise to me. Do Essendon even have a forward line that demands this kind of panic? Bringing in a player that has barely got out of a trot since 2024 is just a nothing decision IMO. Game will be won and lost in the midfield and transition from back - neither of which Corr, nor indeed Dawson most likely - would do anything to change the balance.
Hardeman is the logical answer and Lmac plays 3rd tall.

OK, an away game, but here's an opportunity to go...

I assume we have GA entry already if H&A members... just no seat unless you get there early and stake it out.

Hope he gets a good run this year

Still remember that debut game
Yeah that debut was crazy and the match vs sydney the week after "interchange gate"

Its a real shame he hasnt been able to build any consistentcy

I would have said that about West Coast.
There are some real differences. West Coast home support is a huge asset to them, unlike the toxic environment that currently exists at Essendon. Weather factor also heavily favored them, despite the fact King Corey will shortly once again point me towards the Uncle Leo excuses thread. And West Coast senior players (Kelly, Yeo, Graham, Cripps, Baker) are way better than anything Essendon's got, not to mention the young talent that's again far superior at the WA club.

So no, I don't back away from my statement. The only way I see us getting beaten if we allow them to jump us on the back of an emotional week for them, and then we can't reel them back in

Well, I would argue that Caddy/Wright and Langford are enough to suggest that Pink and Comben alone won't get the job done. Nor are any of our medium defenders good enough to pick up one of the talls.

I would play Comben on Wright, Pink on Langford, and Dawson on Caddy.

Its our midfield and half forwards need to stop and win in the middle part of the ground. If we can create pressure, make a farkin tackle and pressure them into turnover then I can see a happy ending. The question is, can they?

I'd rather play Dawson/Whitlock or just go smaller with Hardeman, but it's easy to say when you aren't under the heat.
