Can you actually define someone as a wingman anymore? I'm trying to think and I can't actually think of a pure wingman.

Reilly and Braun spend a time in the centre of the ground.

The rest spend a considerable amount of time playing on a flank. Embley, Eagleton, especially so.

Kade Simpson is about the closest to being a pure wingman.

When you think of wingmen, you think of blokes like Greg Anderson, Paul Hills (not that he was an overly good one), Rick Olarenshaw. There aren't players like that anymore.

The wing is an extention of the midfield.
