Freo in the main are a bunch of ordinary footballers who play a boring style of football. They have lost to Carlton and essendon at subi this season so I don't see why we can't knock them off. Pavlich is the key to this one. Keep him under 5 goals and we're a real chance...

To be honest, I'd be very happy with Pav kicking 5, because he sets quite a few up as well.

The midfield is where you'll win and lose it. Pretty obvious i know, but if our mids have time and space when going inside 50 Rance is going to have a very long day. Mayne has also been playing well.

But if you keep winning the clearances and bottle the ball up down our end, and pressure our mids when we try to kick inside our 50 then you've got a great chance. Our disposal inside 50 has been pretty poor in recent weeks, so there's a real opportunity for you there if your midfield is really switched on in applying pressure.

Your smalls are probably more of a worry to us than your tall forwards.

Nope, likewise Freo wouldn't trade Fyfe for Cotchin either.

Spot on.

Fyfe over Cotchin? seriously is this a joke ahahahah gotta love freo supporters just dumb as doorknobs. Freo's list is ageing quickly and the opportunity for a flag would be minuscule. Nearly time for a rebuild imo. Now on topic good to see O'Hanlon getting another game has a silky left boot thats for sure.

while i do think fyfe is better o/head especially contested, this is the area that cotch will be recongnised as very good in the future. can really clunk them and will be the area thats seperates him from the other up and coming mids of today just like fyfe.

The other thing that will separate them will be Fyfe's Premiership and Norm Smith medals.

YOLO anyone.....

What on earth?

its a Gen Y thing sadly

#YOLO: The newest acronym you’ll love to hate

By Maura Judkis

You may not know it, but right now, you are existing in a state of YOLO. Yes, like its forbearers TGIF and LOL, the acronym, along with its devil-may-care attitude, is earning a permanent place in our lexicon and our lives — for better or for worse.
YOLO, or “You only live once,” is sort of a teen interjection for “Carpe Diem.” Only it’s short on the noble idea of living life to its fullest — and more focused on brash decisions and their consequences.
The abbreviation has been bouncing around Twitter for a while now, but it cemented its place in cultural conversation when it was written into the Drake song “The Motto.”
“You only live once: that’s the motto [expletive] YOLO,” Drake sings. Actor Zac Efron also endorsed the abbreviation with a tattoo on his hand.
Often — and not to get all after-school-special on you — YOLO is used as an excuse for bad or risky behavior. That, or a chance to play mean pranks.

freo if they play well will pump us .. even if we stop pavlich there midfield will kick more golas than our and we cant stop it

Put either jacko on fyfe and white to play on the goal threat small forwards

will need to be firing on all cylinders to win this one

No way Freo in its current form will ever get anywhere near a grand final.
Yep agree. If they continue to improve, and the emerging and mid-tier players come on, then 2014 or 2015 could be Freo's year.

YOLO anyone.....

What on earth?

Think it stands for 'you only live once'. Jack was apparently shouting it out today at training. Hopefully to get the boys fired up for a big game this Saturday!

Mate you were making some reasonable points till you bit and said that... I think come September 24, the thing that might actually separate them is a Brownlow Medal...

Don't be silly. Fyfe hasn't played enough this year to win the Brownlow. o_O

Fyfe's injury problems are a concern, I'd be worried if I supported Freo. Hope for their sake he's over the worst of it.

Fyfe is a jet and will be a top 20 player in the AFL, but to compare him to cotch is a bit rich...At the end of the season Cotch will probably be an AA and will win a second B&F. Fyfe has been injured for the best part of this season so doesnt have these kind of runs on the board...

IMO Fyfe's standing in the game is due in part to the fact that he was a second round pick. If he was picked at #4 instead of Moro, he'd be talked up much like Martin, Jetta, Talia etc - Great first round picks. Undoubted tallent for sure, but Cotch is a class above :thumbsu:

Fyfe and Cotchin are just quite different players. Cotchin does all the basics extremely well and works hard whereas Fyfe can make the impossible look easy and leaves supporters shaking their heads with the same work ethic. Two great talents and only time will tell.

Both are the types of players you love to go to watch at the footy. The injury for Fyfe has been sad but to think it is only his third year and has missed a lot of football through injury is incredible. Not often a Docker gets talked about on footy shows so when he gets as much recognition as he does on the East Coast you know he is doing well. I guess many of my fellow supporters do not get to see enough of Cotchin.

Hope they both stay injury free and we can continue this debate for years to come. Luckily, i suppose, is that Fyfe has not suffered a leg injury and should not hamper him too much. Poor Mora!

It always makes me laugh when Richmond and Freo supporters argue over who is the better team. Lets both lock in some finals football first hey guys. Lets just hope no Geelong or Collingwood supporters venture into this thread.
