Interestingly, Paul Roos has demonstrated a couple of times this year that Freo with Sandilands are much much worse off at clearances than without him. The stats were very damning for the first ten or so rounds this year with him vs the rounds when he has been out. Will be interesting to see what they do.

Not so much, Barlow and Mundy were massively out of form in the first half of the season, and have slowly been putting it together as the season rolls on. With them hitting their straps and Fyfe/Lower in the mix for the midfield, we will be continuing to improve. Sandi was not the problem, although it's nice to have a couple of backup ruckmen like Griff and Clarke.

It should be a cracker, you guys were red-hot last week, so hopefully we can do enough.

I think we've learnt in the past to believe the exact opposite of what Ross Lyin says.

Except when it comes to selection. He has not once this year played smoke and mirrors with ins and outs (like some other coaches do).

We should feel pretty confident about a win this week. We play Subiaco well and a dry night will allow us to to use our skill and pace. We couldn't use this in the wet when we played them midseason. The game slowed us down and Freo were able to strangle us. This time we can get the job done. Can't see any changes unless Griffiths doesn't pull up. A 3rd tall forward would be handy. Not sure if Elton or Astbury are doing well enough to get in though

If deledio cant destroy crowley this time ill be disappointed

No one else has this year so can't see how this would change. Besides, I think he will go to Cotchin and DeBoer go to Deledio.

if crowley goes to cotchin there will probably be alot of frees to cotchin for holding the man methinks, umps love cotchin half as much as judd but thats still alot!

only brisbane leave lids by himself in centrre bounces 3 seconds later.. goal :)i rekcon same tatcic to be used with crowly getting lids again but with the much wider ground and much better weather to suit our running game, we should win... but pavs in form and they have lost mayne tho

Mayne passed concussion test and fully trained today. Surprised at your confidence about winning given Freo's form over the past six weeks and playing at Subiaco.

Not all of us mate. If we can contain this loss to anything less than four goals I will be happy. Our kids are nearly done for this year and you have a finals spot within reach.

I just want a good showing from Rance on Pav, Jack to kick a couple and Cotch and Lids to demonstrate why they will be the best one-two combination next year.

The only team of note you've beaten in the past 6 weeks is West Coast, the rest has been WBD, Melbourne, GWS and Port you also lost Essendon and Collingwood.

Why wouldn't we be confident of a win?

I know crowley did a good job on lids last time around, but surely Crowley will go to Cotch given his recent form?!

Hill and Lids head to head - damaging game breakers
Mundy and Tuck Head to head - clearance machines
Martin and Deboer? - hard nuts
Fyfe/Barlow and Jackson? - jacko doing a run with role?
I suspect DeBoer will go to Newman.

Just a heads up MT, this game is a day game in Perth. Starts at 2.40pm local time over there, 4.40pm here. Wouldn't want you to miss the action ;)

thats true. crowley having a great season. its up to the umps to determine how much holding is goin on.

Crowley has pretty much nullified everyone he's played on this year. I hope Cotchin tears this prick a new areshole and proves there's no substitute for class.

You mean MT isn't going to be at the game?!

Thats it, hand your membership over now MT... :D

lol nah Madtiger rarely travels for Richmond. As he would rather sit on his backside watching it on tv. Only Interstate game he went to over the long years he has been a member was Port v Richmond this year. That game he only went as i forced him to attend.

He's too busy with his Post cam.

24-7 ;)

Reece Conca will miss the rest of the season with a fractured toe Grimes will also be out for the rest of the season as well. Batchelor is a chance to get back if he trains well tomorrow.
