Not that Sandilands has played much as a forward, but when he has, no one has been able to take him. He's 1 million feet tall and weights 5000 kgs. What can any defender do when the ball is coming in high into the goal square that is not going to result in a mark or free kick to Sandi?
And when it's not delivered on a platter to Sandi we'll see his opponent skipping thru the middle and bombing it long to JR. If it's Griff he'll be having shots himself.

Yet, as far as I can tell, he has kicked no more than 13 goals in any one season.

You are an idiot, pal. We all thought Griff might have done an ACL last week and look at that, he's still in the side and playing this week...at this stage. And you said he's fragile!!!!

Sorry Griff.
For a moment there, I thought you were talking to yourself... surely not!

Playing for pride now. No pressure regarding the finals. Obligatory home ground umpiring and the home crowd will see us pipped at the post. Will be a close game, but I can't see us winning over there. Our current form suggests we will play consistent four quarters. If our backs curtail Pav, we are a chance, but he is in rare form. I like the way Fyfe goes in, and it could be an interesting midfield battle.

I hope Crowley goes to Cotch this time instead of Lids. Cotch handles the tag better, and I'm pretty sure lids only had like 15 possessions when we played freo last - Crowley did a really good job on him, he did a really good job on Thompson last week, and people shouldn't underestimate him. He is the best tagger in the league

Lyon has looked at the Eagles game at Etihad and if Sandilands plays, it would be purely to be able to swing him into the goal square and bomb it long and get the crumbers around him, just like worsfold did with big Cox...So Dimma take note...

Obligatory home ground umpiring...

Clearly you're not familiar with Dean Margetts who hates Fremantle with a passion. The game will probably start with a centre square infringement and 50 metre penalty for an easy goal to Richmond.

And then finish with a a centre square infringement and 50 metre penalty for an easy goal to Richmond to win it on the siren. ;)

to be fair to you, from the few games of Freo I've seen they don't get the sweet run the Eagles get from the umps. No idea why

Margetts is umpiring. Anything can happen now

The form Cotchin is in at the moment could be described as 'untaggable'. So you would think Cotchin would go head to head with Fyfe (what a match up). I'm sure Hardwick has tactics in place if Crowley goes to Deledio again.

BTW looking forward to the game this saturday mainly to see Trent Cotchin, out of interest would you swap him for Fyfe?

As much as my Freo freinds will probably shout me down I would probably do the trade.

Its an interesting argument, Both are inside or outside midfielders who kick goals. Cotchin has a little more polish than Fyfe and his disposal skills are much better. Fyfie's advantage over Cotchin would be that he is probably a better overhead and contested mark. Still probably the two best young midfielders in the game.

Fyfe is an absolute gun. But Cotchin is one step above that.

while i do think fyfe is better o/head especially contested, this is the area that cotch will be recongnised as very good in the future. can really clunk them and will be the area thats seperates him from the other up and coming mids of today just like fyfe.
