who will Crowley go to if Dangerfield isn't back?
Douglas? Sloane? Vince? Would probably leave Thommo alone, even if he is playing, since he's carrying an injury.

Sloane is the obvious candidate IMO, if Thompson plays he'll more than likely go head to head with Mundy/Barlow but Sloane is lethal inside AND outside and has ripped us up at Subi before.

Mzungu to Henderson and De boer to Douglas are my predictions.

i'd take thommo over kerr any day if i was managing a club

but kerr at his best with judd and cousins (or as i call them, the dog arse crowbeating shit clowns for jerks) was better than thompson. Thompson has been a consistent champion, but we were really terrified of kerr and his good time buddies in the 05/06 days (or as I call them... well, you know).

A west coast supporter with 2 eyes? incredible.
Haha not all of us are Chardonnay sipping booing grannies that know nothing about football. Us dog arse crow beating shitters were the only things stopping u from winning a flag in05/06 :D

Thought it was lines of the white powder.

FFS is anyone on this board going to acknowledge that Otten was moved forward to do a defensive tagging job on Harry Taylor?

Why is no one giving him credit for executing the job he was sent there to do - and topped it off with 2 goals to assist himself by ensuring Taylor had man him up.

People thinking he will be dropped are totally deluded and cannot possibly have paid attention to his role.

Again, it's more about LJ than it is about him.

He was woeful last week, quite good this week.

LJ could be worse, or he could be better - we need to find out which.

Funny that some of the posters who bagged the selectors all season regarding Lyons now think he would be an ideal sub candidate. Maybe the selectors do know a little more about their players than you (i.e. obviously they have always known about his fitness issues)? What a shock!

Also funny that he's performed above average in almost every game he's played, when he apparently wasn't ready for AFL footy. And he shouldn't be the sub ;)

No surprise Vader likes this post. Either of you like to provide the quotes from the posters who bagged the selectors asking for Lyons to be the sub?

Agreed

Sloane single handedly won us the game in WA last year against the Dockers. He was immense. Oh how i waved my scarf hard that day sitting amongst the Dockers supporters

Something tells me i won't be waving it as much this week, but i'll be there

Trading Chris Groom for Andrew "Norm Smith" McLeod.

Why couldnt we engineer trades like this again lol. Thanks Freo for all the wonderful memories.

I always felt had we had Pav in 05 and 06 we could have won a flag which leads me to think, what a waste of a talent he has been for Freo. To think his best years were wasted is a shame. I blame Ayres going for Carey instead of Pav.

Yeah good luck trying to do that again... Especially under Freos current board.

Have not traded a 1st round Draft pick since 2006 when we traded Pick 8 and Medhurst for Chris Tarrant. Glad those days are over... Also you mentioned Pavs Talent has been wasted? Pav is A 6 time All Australian. Won one of them in 2002 as a Full back.

I reckon its time you guys owe freo a fair Trade....

Zac Dawson for Taylor Walker, Dangerfield, Sloane and Talia.:p:D

Freo are just so unbalanced at the moment its hard to match up on them. It would almost be better if Pav was in then we wouldn't look so slow down back.

Otten has to stay forward if he's in the team otherwise we'll have to sent Truck or Talia forward (which is a loss for us because they marshall the backline so well).

I think we have to back our current defenders in to win in the air and then our smalls to be really tight on the ground. Talia, Brown and Laird are a good chance to do this and are all in good form. Truck just has to stick to the resting ruck so he doesn't get turned around and our midsand half backs have to run back like the season depends on it and not let their midfielders score their goals.

10 goals will probably win this game. Freo will struggle to get more without big midfield bags or a Mayne miracle.

1st off Its going to take more than 10 goals to win this week more like 12-14.

It would be a bad Idea to put Talia or Rutten in the Forward line. Your looking for trouble doing that. Zac Clarke loves taking overhead and aerial marks and kicking goals. He kicked 13 goals from 15 games last season. Considering Freo have Been playing without Pav the whole season. Freo have heavily relied on Mayne, Walters and Ballantyne to kick goals. The Mids have also pitched in well. 3 guys have kicked 10 goals each, another 3 has kicked 7 each.

Oh and one last thing. I expect Stephen Hill to be tagged again. Even though he got 11 disposals last week, he is playing his role well. With him being tagged, it gives other mids Like Danyle Pearce and Mundy to cause damage with the ball and on the score board.

You have two 'big' forwards, neither of them genuine KPFs. We have 3 big defenders, and as good as you think Mayne and Clarke might be they don't need all of Rutten, Talia and Otten to defend them.

Either Otten must be played as a permanent forward (not ideal IMO), or one of the three rested. Otherwise we're asking for trouble.

Out: Rutten/Talia/Otten, Thompson (inj)
In: Johnston, Kerridge
Sub: Mackay

Mundy should be tagged over Hill every day of the week, I'm yet to see Hill tear a game apart.

Someone else would have Barlow already.

While I have Scott in my Elite DT, there is a lot of mid options usually (depending on your squad sizes). I've just been burnt (picked up Zaha the week before his injury) you could easily replace.

One less after I picked up Ziebell today :p

Just a guess

In Kerridge, Mckernan

Out Thommo, Porps

I hope not. But I agree with you!

I wish LJ got picked, just something to catch the Dockers off-guard. ie An Unknown quantity.

Kerridge and LJ as ins and this board would get excited for a change. Thommo would be out due to his groins, not sure about the other out. Porps seems to be getting his act together and would be an asset up forward.

I didn't see the game at all last week, but my inkling is that Sando thinks Otten is the better play up forward over Johnston.

Kerridge for Thompson.
Then delist LJ or Sando. That call can't be made unless you give LJ more than one game in 2 years.

Watch the second half of the last western derby. Hill was outstanding and was the catalyst to Freo's surge which led to them kicking 8 goals in the last quarter.
