I quite liked our football in the last month of 2009.

The win over St Kilda was a great balance of concentrated defence and flair in attack. Give him a go on a 1 year deal with a directive to be super-competitive. That fails, we go to market for a bigger name with our 'war chest'.

Contrary to popular opinion I don't think Brad is a mercenary, he's a decent guy and if things continue slipping to shit he'd probably fall on his sword.

No hard feelings and although unlikely Tef's suggestion of him taking on an alternative role would be worth trying. He's doesn't come across as an egomaniac who would interfere from afar.

We are slow and uncreative in the middle, but we lack options to fix that. Atley in the middle and perhaps Mc Kenzie to HB. Mc Mahon and Spud are past AFL 2013, time to blood C Delaney and Kennedy for extended periods. Maj plays as he showed last week he will probably learn little else in the VFL.

My silver lining is that Wood, Garner and Wilkins all look like players but apart from a taste I wouldn't go crazy bringing them in.

I disagree it doesn't matter in so far as we must actually make a significant number of changes. The season is shot so changes for changes sake is now important. Scott backing his players etc again this week will be the final nail in the coffin for me as a long term Scott supporter.
