Now that Rocky is back in the midfield and given Zorko is our most dangerous around goals it might be worth a shot.

First week I did, I liked our size around the ground, plus I really like Wests temperament as a footballer. But now I am not so sure. Both guys struggle up forward. We pushed Leuey out the door because Steph was one of those rucks who needed the whole paddock to himself to be super effective and he was, last year and the year before, he was one of the best rucks i'd seen play, sadly this year he has regressed badly.

I think the sole issue is walker is considered 'not up to it' generally, and steph has said he needs help, once Walker comes back, West will go out. People asking for Steph to be rested / dropped are wasting their breath. He is an untouchable.

Steph really strikes me as not enjoying his footy, the great ruckman is still there, we just need to find him again.

I'd prefer we go back to one ruck and bring walker back in.

certainly was, Zorko had zero impact up there. I've really like his form this year through the midfield.

Martin is a better player than west and unfortunately they can't play in the same team. Possibly dropping/resting Schache or Freeman for a smaller forward line could be an option as well.

I feel Paines been decent personally. Much better equipped to take on a tall defender man to man than Andrews and this stage who would benefit from a return in the NEAFL before playing seniors imo.

Rich and Hanley are our two most damaging players, they just don't seem to be putting effort in.

i don't mind the idea of sending hanley and rich back to the NEAFL for a few weeks to send a message that we need all players to gut run to the point of exhaustion. it's not good enough for leaders of this team to be 1 week on and 2-3 weeks off. they need to be setting an example to the younger guys.

No way will we rest Rich. He can get tagged out of it but even against the Bluea he kicked 2 goals and had a couple of effective kicks. I agree with the the posts above for Paine and one other to be dropped

I actually think that if he can get his body right and have some luck with injury, Michael Close is a great medium to long term prospect. Close is only 21 years old and at 195cm he has the capacity to develop into a significant power forward. I would like to see that happen with us, rather than another club. I rate Close as a definite keeper and look forward to watching his development.

I am a bit surprised we are outsiders with the bookies for this game, I really think we can win, and win well. A bit of confidence heading into the West Coast game and coming off no travel, I think we can beat West Coast the week after as well. Call be an optimist.
