We were up by 20 points a few minute in the start of the 3rd quarter but folded like a pack of cards after the goal by Milera......

They flogged us - the only reason it wasn't a 10 goal loss was due to their inaccuracy.

The coaches have an idea of how their best structure looks, and they're very stubborn with it. We very rarely change our structure, regardless of our opponent. Essentially, if you're in the twos and the position you're pigeonholed in already has a player in the AFL side then you may as well pack it in until they get an injury. Anything outside of structure and you don't "fit".

Hyper-structured sides look excellent when things are clicking. However, the flipside is an inability to change when it doesn't work. Adelaide 2016-18 and Fremantle 2013-15 are two of the most rigid sides I've seen in terms of structure and roles, who fell over at the crunch when things didn't work.

We're a hyper-structured, over-coached football side.
I would say poorly coached.

I don't understand why we would play CEY ahead of Poholke. I know that many people don't rate him, but I thought he's shown enough improvement that something could be there, while I can't really see CEY ever being more than just depth.

Very. Very bad. Carlton bad.
I'll reserve judgement on that until after Sunday. I'm not sure anyone could be as bad as they were last weekend....... And we gave it a fair shake.

Whats the point in dropping someone for 1 week? "Get back in the 2nd's and don't get injured. We need you next week." If your gonna drop someone at least drop them long enough to give their replacement time to take their spot. What happens if Himmelberg is best on? Dropped. "How dare you make list management look stupid."

Please let him be best on.

If he does, Reid can start making calls regarding JJs trade status.

They only had 4 more behinds and 1 more scoring shot in total than us at 3 quarter time, and most of the shots they missed were set shots wide. I also remember at least 3 goals from none existence or borderline 50/50 free kicks directly in front of their goal.

Like I said, we folded in a 10 minute block at the end of the 3rd/start of the 4th where they kicked 5 goals straight and like the previous week we folded in a 5 minute block where Geelong kicked 4 goals straight and lost the game by those 4 goals.

It wasn't about the score board we played terribly and the coaches informed our players to go slow ... But they thought that meant lose the game or something.... According to campo

Agree. Once you are dropped, you go back into the pack and the best performed player comes in next.
Eg Wilson

No, they flogged us.

I would just love to see the coaches faces if Himmelberg kicks 5 and they can't drop him.

The squirming would be a sight to see. We'd be able to see their brains ticking over trying to solve the conundrum
