I don't know whether he does think that you know, in fact I reckon he knows it's close.
He would know it now but not when playing

If he plays again he has to play midfield, not the half forward graveyard.
I just knew this would happen, which is why I made the point when Polholke was picked that he needed to be given decent midfield minutes.

Tex on the news saying there could be changes but he would like to think we will back in our experienced players...
Not trusting youth seems to be the common theme down there. Strange statement coming from a captain. I would prefer to hear "If your not in form you don't deserve a spot" but when you are one of the players out of form yourself perhaps that is why we didn't hear this. Our club painfully struggles to drop players if the player has racked up a certain amount of games. Strangely other clubs don't.

You are missing the point (again)

Its not the ball movement, its not the midfield, its JJs pathetic lack of effort that is behind the calls for him to be dropped

He is playing like he doesnt care because he thinks he wont be dropped.
I think that he did think he was protected because backup ruck. But now he doesn't want to step up and found out hey I'm replaceable. Also think he was frustrated with Gibbs being dropped but hey speculation is speculation. Do think there is some resitance coming from players on many sides .. Always happens with poor management. Having said that our list is aging why they didn't start mixing in youth last year is beyond me... Ready for this yr type thing.

Because we pushed for 12th spot.

Last year was a joke, how we only gave Himmelberg one game was such poor list development, they’d rather win games that mean nothing than think of the future.

If you look at the % of your posting content, you have had unusually high amount of comments about our 2nd ruckman!

We must get the balance of our side right, particularly our anemic forward line. If that means dropping JJ, finding a 2nd ruckman will happen & is of far less of a concern. Keeping JJ solely on the basis he is the 2nd ruckman is crazy talk.

Yea lets drop a Tall forward that will work, That will change the way the ball is entering the Forward line, Blame the tall forward,
And you cannot seperate the fact JJ does back up the ruck work, because like it or not someone has to replace that part of his game.
Would you be happy replacing him with a Short Tall or someone who not very good in that role for 20% of the game, against a 203cm Wright.
I am For Keeping JJ because when he does go into the Centre he has changed the game our way this year.
And I am looking at the GC game, put a half decent ruck in the centre against Wright and we can create a couple of chances put a weak ruck and GC get the advantage so yea this week a decent supporting ruck would be important this week.

But we should be talking about Hartigan, Kelly and Talia who are Play worse, MacKay, Atkins, Knight, Murthy who are not doing enough to create goals or kick them.
CEY and Pohokle, unfortunately, one goes for Greenwood.

Because he knows he's in the gun.

Also, Brad Crouch said there's likely to be 3 or so.

So that'll be

OUT: Jones, Murphy, Poholke/CEY
IN: Gibbs, Greenwood, Gallucci

Senior players backed in

Funnily enough that makes our side a fair bit more dangerous and stronger.

But I could go at least 2 more if I'm being conservative.

Can we stop this rubbish about the importance of the 2nd ruck. They are only there to give the other ruck a decent rest. Nothing more nothing less. If they manage to win some taps great

In any sport you recognise your opposition and instruct on circumstances

Sandilands , Grundy and Gawn rucking? Start your set ups in the defensive position. With 2MPeter Our ruck coach and midfield coach should be doing all they can to negate any benefit the opposition get.

Its called coaching, its what people get paid for

If you're lucky enough to have 2 real good ones it can be of huge benefit.

Problem is it takes something from somewhere else.

Tex is nowhere near in the gun. He's co- captain and runs a hotel with Roo, which incidentally is where he gave the interview from.

He's untouchable and he knows it.

It looks like that but i wouldn't be so sure. He will be the last to go but if the season keeps it's course no one is safe.

Will be backed in until the season is over. Then they will back them in some more as they will say we can't make finals anyway. The "he's a good clubman" bullshit will get pulled out pretty soon followed by a good news story about their dog or some similar shit.

My gut feel is Jones will play.

In: Stengle, Greenwood, Gibbs
Out: Murphy, Polhoke, Ellis-Yolmen

Fogarty is obviously out of favour. He is a threat to one of the good bois.

Which is why we're trying to make him a defender until someone retires.

But imo our forward line is crying out for the untamed mongrel that only Fog can provide.

Someone willing to throw their weight around and create opportunities by crash, bash and intimidation while also kicking the 1 or 2 goals that Tex or Jenkins provide.

If we lose Sunday the club will act.

Not necessarily in the club's best interests, but to make it look like they're doing something..... to save their own skins.

Our season would be long dead by the time anyone had the stones to pull that trigger, if ever. Of which I'm doubtful.

Can't drop Jenkins. A player running from contests embarrassing the club nationally is integral to our structure. Lol.

I don't buy that, they played him a fair bit last year.

Theyre trialling him back because we are short on numbers back there. I don't like it, but that's the reason.
