Poholke is not "way too slow" to play half forward or any other position for that matter. He might have some faults but he IS NOT slow.

Poholke isn't that fast either, and a half forward needs to have genuine pace as a weapon. Otherwise you are wasting your time selecting him.

He's probably fast enough for an in/out position in the long run.

There isn't a forward line spot for him in the near future without doing some serious harm to us (seeing we've overinvested in our tall forwards). Unfortunately by that, developing him as a forward is just wasting our time seeing we need to be in a position to develop Fogarty in our AFL side that isn't totally injury reliant for the next couple of years.

Can see your point should be form based aswell... It's where we want him in the future. Jenkins or Tex form slump should also equal game for Fog. Competition for spots is where our mindset should be.

I hope Keath will develop into a really strong, best-15 player for us. At this time, he reads the play well and is a strong mark, but after marking just stands and looks. And thinks. Then looks some more, like honey slowly threatening to drip off a spoon.
Meanwhile oppo players are moving into strong defensive positions. Keath is stagnant, with the ball in his hands.
SaltPeter posted he made AFL Team of the Week. Is that right?
I'd love to see Keath get the ball and take off, evade, fend, anything to play on, move forward and get the ball moving much more quickly. Laird and Smithers are being heavily attended to and Keath has got to create some run out of defence.

They had to add omit Jones and replace him with Stengle in the squad otherwise Jones would have ended up an emergency. You can't have an injured player as an emergency, and the four players who are omitted from the squad become the emergencies

No guarantee whatsoever that Stengle plays. Would be very, very surprised if he played.

It's a valid fear.

The opposition teams know where we're instructed to kick the ball, and are there. If you look up and the opposition is camped where you're to kick, you'd look for a second option too.

On a separate note, has anyone noticed how our players almost always miss a game with concussion whereas Port's almost never do.

Are we using the same concussion protocols?

Pay him way overs and do anything to make his family comfortable. He was head coach of Central District (2001–2002), and assistant coach at Port Adelaide (2003–2004). Has he ruled out Adelaide publicly, either to live in and/or Coach?
