Come on....long term?

He’s drafted in 2016, so has had at least 2 x full pre seasons and 1 x interrupted. Since that interruption he’s played a trial and 2 SANFL games. He was perfectly fine last week with 20 and a goal.

If he was playing midfield last year as you say, which I didn’t see a lot of but will take your word for it, then surely he has an advanced fitness base?

We are slow, we are old and we are stale.

A first round pick, pacey mid, in his 3rd year on the list. Still can’t get a game but he’s in our long term plans?

Yet we’d pump JLT opportunity into Douglas and we’d shove old mate in off of no pre season and we’d persist with CEY after his 30 games in 8 years. Maybe that’s the kind of long term planning we see for Gallucci.
This. Can we ask this question to our new member elected board member on crowcast this week? Think the fans feel completely helpless with what’s going on and not happy with any of the decisions we are making for the long term success of our club

Can't have Milera across half back and pinch hitting in the midfield. Our structure doesn't allow it.

We have a set back 7 with one on the bench at all times. They play as a set unit, train together in the preseason, work with their direct line coach. No room for any overlap.

Only way for Milera to get any midfield time is to shift him into the vacated Douglas HFF/Mid role.

Sure, Hodge, Mitchell and Burgoyne at times played midfield and across half back for the Hawks but what would those clowns know?

We are beholden to our structure. And it's delivered us middling results. Yet we are married to it.

I agree with that entirely. but he is in our plans. Weve gone from pushing underdone guys into the squad to giving them too much time at the lower level IMO.

He played plenty of footy last year and probably some of it undeservedly so. I think we are concerned about his midfield production levels, personally if he gets 18 good touches rather than 30 averages ones.... id take that
How is he supposed to get 30 touches playing at half forward? Our coaches are full of excuses for playing their favourites (ie older mates in DMac, Douglas)

I actually like Milera's creativity as a forward, and he blew games open as a kid in the SANFL doing it. He's good overhead, penetrating kick and has a huge bag of tricks. Compare that to Murphy and his...... defensive pressure.

I mean in the SANFL

If we want Milera as a half forward why the **** aren't we just playing Gallucci there and keeping Milera in his best position!?

Mind boggling stuff
It has become blatantly obvious that the selection committee has absolutely no idea what they’re doing.

Broom please. Through the whole club.
Chapman quietly extended term. Why not announce we are considering it given all of his failures and our failures?
Campo - wtf is he still at the club?
Clarke - failed ruck coach. Great women’s coach - leave him to coach that side and get someone new in.
Hart - say no more.
Burton - above.
Haas - is currently being baby sat.
Godden and Mattner - new and green but AFL experienced for pivotal roles in a team that’s trying to win a flag? Probably not.

This

The lack of vision and feel for the game is truly stunning

Only ONE --- 2017 Prelim vs Geelong.
Came out hard, mongrelled them all game. That might've been our GF, in hindsight. We needed that vs Richmond :'(
It definitely was. The general feeling at the ground that night was job done, the hardest part is over. Now we just go to Melbourne and pick up the silverware.

Holding back Gallucci as emergency at a time when he is desperate for form, game time and to press his selection claims would be another stunningly poor decision, on par with our other howlers

Surely that's what lunks like Otten, Wilson and <deliberately unfilled rookie spot> are for?

An external review of the club would have identified this issue.
We're scared of the answers because deep down we know what they are

We are comfortable with no one having to answer to responsibility at the AFC.
Collective minds - any other club and Burton would have been gone.
Chapman - oversaw Tippett affair and should have been sacked.
Trigg - above but got held onto.
It’s easy to set yourself up to a ten year career at the crows because there’s very little chance of being shown the door.

Can we also ask how someone like Mackay is up over his 200th game whilst first round talent sits in the sanfl?

And why the selection committee thinks having Talia, Keath, Hartigan and Kelly in the bacline is a good idea

Hey AmericanCrow , you around mate? :thumbsu::cool:
Happy with the changes? Wanted more?
Suns are 3-1 and not far off being 4-0, all close games. Winning them can really unite and inspire a team.
I'm not sure what the malaise is with the Crows players, but they look dispirited/ going through the motions.

I also follow Cleveland teams, not in my nature to ever abandon ship. ;)

If we can't show up at home against GC we are in for a very long season.

Just hoping the changes aren't simply rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic

So is McHenry out with concussion?

I get that it's a serious issue for footballers and we need to be careful but I get the impression we're cautious to the point that players have to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded while tied up underwater before they get the all clear

Is that what has happened here? Is Gallucci actuallygoing to miss the SANFL game so he can watch from the sidelines? That feels almost like "We just Gallucci to find some form, but unfortunately he was emergency last week for the AFL team so another week in SANFL will do him good."

He got rear ended in his car and got concussion symptoms after that

Someone said somewhere that McHenry was in a car accident yesterday - did I read that right?

And why the selection committee thinks having Talia, Keath, Hartigan and Kelly in the backline is a good idea
That combo just screams REBOUND

As in, the ball rebounds instantly back into our D50

Really?

Having quite the start to a season aren't we

Even our fans are disgracing themselves

Our coaches have completely lost the ability to identify which players have genuine football talent and which players can merely follow instructions
And apart from Jenkins all they took out of Saturday's debacle was that our 2nd youngest player Poholke needed to go

A week after he forced his way in on strong SANFL form
