I agree with that entirely. but he is in our plans. Weve gone from pushing underdone guys into the squad to giving them too much time at the lower level IMO.

He played plenty of footy last year and probably some of it undeservedly so. I think we are concerned about his midfield production levels, personally if he gets 18 good touches rather than 30 averages ones.... id take that
Fair enough - and I can live with us making a call that he’s not for us and move him on when he may still have some value via his 1st round status.

But let’s get him to 30-40 games at least, rather than have rot in the 2’s, not find out what he can do - then lose value as a trade option

And apart from Jenkins all they took out of Saturday's debacle was that our 2nd youngest player Poholke needed to go

A week after he forced his way in on strong SANFL form
Poholke is not Afl standard and imo should not have been included. I do agree though that you don't bring a player in who is afl standard and move them out the following week. You give them time to win that spot otherwise all it is to the dropped player is a 1 week penance. I would put 10k on the fact Junkins will line up next week regardless how Himmelberg plays.

Depends how Josh goes today

So is McHenry out with concussion?

I get that it's a serious issue for footballers and we need to be careful but I get the impression we're cautious to the point that players have to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded while tied up underwater before they get the all clear
That kind of stuff is gonna be in the hands of the doctors, not the selectors, so I would be putting my trust in their decisions.

He had a car accident yesterday afternoon

And we chose to play him where ?? Not in the midfield.

Holding back Gallucci as emergency at a time when he is desperate for form, game time and to press his selection claims would be another stunningly poor decision, on par with our other howlers

Surely that's what lunks like Otten, Wilson and <deliberately unfilled rookie spot> are for?
I hold out hope he's playing

I feel the lawsuit has something to do with that.

. We've dropped our best forward, brought back in a squib and a basketball player who can tag and win groundball. Also brought in a small Forward with issues similar to what we've been experiencing.

No, we dropped a squib and basketball player
Who it turns out is the same player

Please tell me who the small forward we brought in was. Must have missed that

Yeah I heard that Stengle was included but then they left him the emergencies

Which is how we are currently ruining Gallucci
How many games has GWS Himmelberg played we chose him before second Choice Doedee.
Doedee having ticked over about 20 games.

Well, 2 unforced changes is a start. Poholke's unlucky but froze last week. I would've liked to see Stengle elevated. Are they worried about his tank?
2) Disclaimer: I loathe PA with a passion that goes back to the 60's SANFL. Yes, I'm that old.
However, did you watch them dismantle WCE last night, doing exactly that, bringing the ball to ground, scrapping and playing on at every opportunity? I gotta say, I reckon WCE came out complacent, got jumped and lost their way by half time. Wines said post-game that it was planned pre-game to counter WCE's marking ability --- get the ball to ground and move it on, quickly.
We could use a plan like that.
The Crows' plan seems to be "Go out and play our game, fellas" which is no plan at all. When teams do not allow us to play "our way", we fold in a heap.

Yep, I think part of the club's problem it is very arrogant and this is reflected in our approach to gameday.

Genuinely feel our electors have lost the plot.
Watch Port last night, watch Collingwood, hell watch anyone except us and what do you see? Speed, speed and more speed.

Instead we pick as many single paced players as possible. We pick every player with a Queen Mary turning circle. Have we completely lost it? Maybe if it was mid winter and there had been 3 weeks of torrential rain I could understand it, but on quick decks?

We really should be playing Gallucci, Stengle and Hamill. Would we be worse off?

Gov and Smith hurt us but Pyke could have picked gov. He choose to go with Otten sighting gov wasn't ready. Gov believed he was and this was a major reason why he left.
If Pyke plays Gov and he stars in a win, both are heroes.
If Pyke plays Gov who then breaks down and we lose, Pyke's the villain/idiot.
Pyke's not a risk-taker.
We'll never know the full story.

If we can't show up at home against GC we are in for a very long season.
Just hoping the changes aren't simply rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic
We lost to Hawks and Cats @ AO.
NM were winless, hopeless, then did us last week, then got hammered by Essendon --- Essendon!! ffs.

I have a bad feeling about tomorrow and 2019 in general . There's something deeply amiss in Crowland .

If GCS beat us at home on the occasion of Eddie's 300th and Smithers' 150th, we're gone.

I think we could have gained another 2 first rounders from Jenkins and Lynch alone being moved when their contracts were up and there was interest from other clubs.
Jenkins peaked in 2016 (age 27) with 62 goals. If he'd been traded then (you're right, Brisbane was after him) this Board would've melted like cheese on nachos.
In hindsight, it would have been a genius move, but who knew? He's an ineffective, lumbering liability now  :'(.

Win lose or draw we have problems to deal with. The sad part is that a loss would fast track the club dealing with them quicker.

I think you need to look at whether a players success is a result of the good play up the field or whether they are solely generating it themselves. I have always felt he has capitalised on the good work of others. He is like a lot of our players, good when its on his own terms but drops his head when there is some hard work involved. The problem with Jenkins is that he doesn't have a footballers instincts. Never has, never will. There were a few people on here saying we should trade him. The club should never base decisions on whether they are popular or not. Those criticising them will shut up when we have another cup in the cabinet.
