One massive advantage for us this week is Sando and Dasher's inside knowledge of Kadinia Park. In previous years we would play there with little info on where the best areas are to attack that ground.
We just smashed the side that poached our multiple-premiership coach (who coached us for 10 years) and supposedly "giftwrapped" the side for Scott.

Knowledge, schmoledge. Results are where it's at.

Doesn't mean I'm confident going into this game. I'm certainly not. I think we'll drop this game, though I'd love to be proven otherwise.

Nice to see the Geelong fans still as arrogant as ever. Some things never change :) One win and they're certainties now!

On form, we win. Will be a lot tougher down at Skilled but lets not forget they only beat the SUNS by a few goals a few rounds ago. Regardless of their win last week, they're nowhere near the side they used to be and if we're on we should account for them easily. Having said that, if we were going to drop a game in the run home this will be it - could be a good wake up call if it does happen.

Correct that 'results are where it's at'. I seem to remember our last result over Geelong was a 50 victory. You don't think Sando and Dasher inside knowledge helped that?

That's a little unfair to Essendon. Didn't Thompson quit because he'd had enough, but then turned around a month later and decided to help his former teammate rebuild his former club where he was a premiership captain?

Nope.

Doesn't mean you'll smash us this week (though I kinda expect it).

Last time we played the Dons they smashed us and we somehow managed to close the margin a little. Everyone pointed to Bomber's inside knowledge. What then happened on Friday night? Did Bomber's inside knowledge from 10+ years with the club suddenly drop off? Or did Geelong improve?

You give your team too much credit IMO. You are not playing witches hats, you're playing a decent team.

I don't believe that tbh. It's kind of bollocks. He was meeting with Essendon staff in the middle of the 2010 season to discuss joining them.

So do you.... for this year at least

Geelong have lost 2 games in more than half a decade down there.
And we're in form now at the right end of the season like we have been for the past 6 years. Coincidence?
And you think your just going to waltz down there and get a win? hahahaha.
Good luck with that :D
Cats by about 30-40pts

lets not ruin the illusion that cats fans are reasonable.

Nothing wrong with what Jwuzzy said. After the success that club has had in the last 5 or 6 years, and the long streak of victories at the cattery, I'd hope they had a huge level of arrogance and enormous expectations. Just as we had in 1997/98 and the mid 2000's when playing at home.

It's club supporters that have those expectations and the club can not back that arrogance up. Looking at Richmond, St Kilda and Port Adelaide but at the moment, Geelong have every right to be cocky.

5AA thinks he may play!

Hmmm that would massive and stretch the Cats.

Lol oops that's Tippett
I'll bet my house Tippett doesn't play ....even if he's ok to play

Forget what 5AA think ....they're backwater ....the spotlight of the footy world is again on the Crows and there's no chance he'll play

Erm I just said I expect to get smashed by you guys down at KP. What more do you want.

Looked like he was just reminding you we're not an under 9s team :p

Good luck, looking forward to the game win lose or draw!

Luckily we're not the ones who need reminding.....

I think if Sando is going to have us up and ready for any game, its this week. Although i'm thinking we may lose. Not sure why.

In Sando and dasher we trust

People do realise these Geelong supporters are most likely trolls? Smedtsy seems alright, but Jwuddy only joined BF today and all his posts are in this thread it seems... Geelong posters on BF are usually not too bad.

Channel 10 reported Shaw hasn't been able to train and hes off to a specialist tomorrow. Surely with bleeding behind his eye he would have been to a specialist already. Hope it's not one of those injuries that look harmless but hang around.
They said last week that he wouldn't train at all during the week ....so no surprises

Probably needs clearance from specialist before he can train again .....wouldn't read too much into it at this stage

Breaks my heart so much to see Dasher in Adelaide uniform :( love and always will love him. Sickens me to think he's plotting our downfall now.

Footy can be a bitch.

I think you'll beat us with ease. Probably 5-8 goals tbh.

No troll, I promise.

Just contributing I guess

They're far enough away from Melbourne to have insightful and intelligent opinions, rather than just "my team is awesome!, everyone else is sh*t!"

It shouldn't be an easy Crows win - but I'm not really taking their record down at Geeling into account - don't they normally play the weak teams done there?

It really should be a close cracking game - hopefully it turns out that way.

Not really, they only play the big Victorian clubs in Melbourne. West Coast, Sydney, us are at the cattery.

Lol, look at this muppet.
You've got to be kidding me. On form, you win? You should win easily? hahaha, yeah ok
Just watch what happens on Saturday afternoon.
This Geelong team all of a sudden click into gear at the right time of the season.
They've been doing this for the past 6 years cos we understand it's not a sprint, it's a marathon.
taking notice in a small victory against the gold coast suns 3 weeks ago is irrelevant.
If football was that easy, i would be able to pick a winner every game, every round.
The thing you don't understand is you don't go from winning a premiership to being a pack of duds in the space of 10 months...
and by the same token, you dont go from an average side last year to being complete world beaters the next year.... so stop over-rating your team.
The cats have paced themselves and now are about to hit their straps, as evidence on friday night with the easy dismal of essendon.
Boy are you in for a surprise.
I know you dont want to hear it cos your a crows supporter but lol. i guarantee victory for the cats on saturday.
In all honesty, if i was a neutral supporter, i would be tipping the cats rather comfortably on saturday bcos they just always seem to come right at the business end of the ladder, like they have planned for it.
As for your team goes, there are still question marks about your genuine your premiership chances are for mine. You have been up this high on the ladder for 15 years and you're kids are going to experience a feral ovation up at the cattery against the reigning premiers. It's going to be a finals like game, no question about it. Your kids are young & have F all experienced compared to the super experienced players of geelong. The difference is stupid. You think this counts for nothing?
We're about to see how ur youth holds up in foreign terrority
This is your biggest test yet, no doubt about it.
I have my doubts on you guys...
Get ready for another fast start... your gonna be chasing tails all day

Enjoy your ban

Geelong are a dying giant, like Brisbane in 2004, and they know it. That's what makes them dangerous. Pride and hurt are a potent mix. I have loved the way we've played this year but I don't currently believe that we are capable of winning the granny. If we beat Geelong this week then I will.

Bit of respect son, you're on another teams board

All jokes aside,
Seriously, crows are going to have their work cut out big time.
That place is a fortress down there. It's easier playing the eagles in Perth than it is the Cats in Geelong.
Bartel back in is massive.
It's gonna be interesting to see how the younger crows deal with a truck load of pressure in front of a feral crowd against a side who has just smashed 6th place on the ladder by 70 odd points..
I got a feeling it could get messy...

it might mate. but your boys will still enjoy your support throughout the entire game. try and hang around for as long as possible.
