Ah my bad, meant 2014. Rutten, Reilly and Doughty all gone by then.
Rutten is only 29. As long as the body holds up he could have another 4 or 5 years in him. Reilly is only 6 months younger so roughly the same for him.I still believe Ben Rutten as 2 years left and now Brent 3 or even 4 seasons left.
More seriously, do we have a spare KPP (i.e. not Walker, Rutten (too short anyway), Talia) who can jump a bit and add something around the ground? .

Why do you have to bring Craig into thisProbably Craig based on SANFL experience
I just hope Craig isn't brought into the team - ever. Why do you have to bring Craig into this
Sounds like selection not settled though. Gut feel says tambling for mckay still on the cards.
No, because the 2 have very different body sizes, I see this as a reason why Ben Rutten will have a limited life span. Over the next 12 to 18 months, the pace of the game will catch up with Ben Rutten and I don't see him being able to compete as affectively as he will like at the age of 31. I don't see him playing 2015. Saying that, Brent Reilly is a different type of player, lower amount of impact on his body will allow him to play at the high level he has demonstrated this year for a few more years after Rutten has hung up the boots.

Unless Sando starts smoking bongs at the selection table, I just can't see that happening. I could maybe just maybe seen them tinkering with the idea of Bling as a small forward but his disposal is way to scary to have in our back 50
I think its the other way around to be honest.LT is more of a 3rd tall defender i'd say. for a KPP it'd be Lynch or Johnston
I fletcher can play at 37 i reckon rutten could still be playing at 33
Jumbo....hope you don't think I was suggesting mckay be omitted for tambling! Geez I would need to smoke the funny stuff too for that idea.
Was only guessing mckay could be the rumour given his history and given tambling is a running type defender albeit without equivalent disposal skills.
So good the 5 of them can cover 6 positions hey?

Was I a bit obscure?
My point was that we have 5 players aged 21 and under who will form the backbone of our back six for many years to come. The possible exception is Brodie Smith who could work his way into the midfield.
Since most teams rotate 7 players through their back six we will need 2 more players. Obviously Dogga is a given for at least the next 5 years and we would hope that Radar has a few more years in him. Truck is a tough one, people have been writing him off for the last few years but he has had a very good year. Andy Otten looked great last week so he should also be in the mix.
As I said at the start of the year, I don't think Stiffy is a long term proposition and I doubt that we will see him done back again. We need to get games into Shaw, Smith, Talia, Brown and Thompson. They have currently played 72 games between the five of them.
What does Dustin Fletcher have to do with Ben Rutten? Fletcher's longevity is an anomaly, not the norm.
Tambling's disposal has been very good in the past couple of months in the SANFL looking at stats and reading reports, so if he comes in, he deserves a chance to show he can still be a member of our best 22.
Why do people like writing him off? We are as bad as Richmond supporters in that regard. I'd have no problems playing him in our current side, but I guess he is just unlucky due to our decent injury run. Perfect depth player coming up to a finals assault. Could be a player that thrives in a better side as well.
