EP have a bye this week. Can see them bringing Sheed back in then.
I think so and Vardy for McInnes possibly as he kicked 2 goals and had 57 hit outs for East Perth. I think the decreased output of Natanui and Lycett would be mitigated by Vardy joining the ruck forward rotation. The counterargument is that McInnes kicked s goal and keeping some continuity will help the forward mid connection more.

its nice Sheed's had good WAFL form but in reality that doesn't ensure AFL form, but unfortunately that's the only barometer we have.

The most important game of the year coming up.lets just take our inspiration from the Doggies win over Geelong last week.Anything is possible if we make a four quarter effort as a collective. No JK no JD no Lecca no worries!! If thats not our thinking then yes my friends ; the season is over.

Not keen on continually kneejerk-swapping players or playing youth just for the sake of it..
this is yet another must one win game..except it really is must win!

Who would've thought we'd be asking Sheed to come back in and save us?
we are a fickle bunch indeed...
But hey, let's bring Sheed back..and Vardy, was a warrior last season, might provide more than Fraz.
Ainsworth was meant to provide something according to the 'support the youth' brigade,
shows some mettle but gets rag-dolled, needs more seasoning..
Ryan+Fraz out. Ryan to learn more kraftwerk, less flying more taxi-ing at ground level...
Need mids and speed, stick with Ahchee- everyone had a bad day.
Try Petrucelle against the run+gun style of GWS.
If Barrass not back (unlikely) and our forward personnel (minus Ryan) are same as last week.
It will be a miracle!...or a much overdue turnaround, against the odds.

No Barrass (back), Darling (ankle) or Naitanui on the track. Would expect Barrass and JK in mix for Pies next round. Darling week after.

Liam Ryan joining in full training at West Coast, looks in good spirits after yesterday's car crash. LeCras wearing a wrist-to-elbow cast on his right arm, only grabbing ball with left hand. Has to be in some doubt for GWS. Kennedy running laps, familiar sight past 2 years.

New thinking given current reports. No JK, JD, TB or Lecca. Or Ryan.

Out: Ryan (break), Ainsworth (unlucky), McInnes
In: Sheed, Nelson, Mellen

B: Cole, Schofield, Hurn
HB: Jetta, Sheppard, Duggan
C: Gaff, Shuey, Masten
HF: Cripps, Mellen, Waterman
F: Rioli, McGovern, Lycett
R: Naitanui, Yeo, Redden
I: Nelson, Ah Chee, Hutchings, Sheed
E: Vardy, Ainsworth, Partington, Ollen

Can hopefully get away with one key defender against a Giants side missing Cameron and with Lobb playing predominantly ruck. Gov can always swing back if needed. In the meantime Nelson in releases Yeo to play midfield.

Sheed and Yeo back in the guts, get our A team in there against the Giants mids. Unlucky for Ainsworth, I don't like the idea of dropping youngsters after a single game but I think Ah Chee offers more up forward if we need to shift Gov out of there, and Hutchings can do a tagging job on Shiel.

Mellen to debut as second banana to Gov in the forward line. If we're ever going to play him then now's the time.

We NEED Yeo in the centre. He looked lost down back and we lost some well needed clearances in the guts. I would rather he float forward to kick a few.

If they want some height maybe O Allen down back? I would have liked maybe Rotham but he missed last week in the WAFL.

Sounds like Ryan is training today and in good spirits so i guess he is playing?

M Allen to replace Mcinnes.

Parto to get a gig for his good form in the WAFL. Not sure Hutchings has even been tagging this year.

I would go:

Out: Ainsworth, Mcinnes, Jetta, Hutchings
In: Sheed, M Allen, O Allen, Partington.

Cole Schofield Shep
Hurn O Allen Duggan

Masten Redden Gaff

Parto M Allen Waterman
Ryan Gov Cripps

Ruck: Nic Nat Shuey Yeo

Bench: Ah Chee , Sheed, Lycett, Rioli

Ryan in full training.Good!Ainsworth was ok under pressure last week but had a couple of very sloppy disposals late as he got tired.I dont know about AhChee, hes a bit like Sheed in that as he gets tired he puts his hands on his hips, drops the head and falls off the pace.Lack of fitness? lack of desire? lack of ability? I dont know but i dont like it in Sheed and i dont like it in AhChee. Its a disease too many blokes at this club have had in the last few years. When the going gets tough, drop the head and let somebody else take up the slack.Sorry but Mcinnis must go.Dunno about bringing in Vardy, maybe we need to go small.GWS are in a very confident mood and if we are not careful we will get run off the park.NN and Lycett over to you.

So hoped Darling would be back for Pies. Need our best 22 and need Darling always.

Hutch tagged Shiel last time we played and kept his influence down so he'll probably get the same role this week. Id bring in Vardy or MAllen for Frase even though i dont think our losses are his fault, i just think Vardy has more potential to perform the forward role based on what he did for us last year.

Looking at GWS, they are likely to go in unchanged.

That means they will have a pretty decent array of talls and one powerful midfield.

Therefore, a few thoughts on changes and match ups:
Yeo has to play midfield
McInnes has had his turn and Vardy to come in and replace
We will need another tall options and someone who can play KPP and KPD - Brander. Taylor and Himmelberg are likely to play so would be likely match ups depending if we need him forward or back. With the possibility of Patton, Lobb and Himmelberg up front, we are on the short side. Brander also has the tank to play forward and cover the run of Tomlinson.
Outs include Ryan (who knows what is up there but suggest he will not be right to play) and Jetta (has been peripheral for a while now and cannot afford his lack of physicality)
In include Nelson and Sheed or Partington (depending who has met their KPI's).
Hutchings to tag either Kelly or Whitfield.

Kennedy running laps, familiar sight past 2 years.

Every time I see Kennedy on TV running laps, he is running the same direction and this causes an overponderence of muscle build up on the outside of one leg and the inside of the other.

If we want to extend his career, must have him rotate 1 lap clockwise and then 1 lap counter-clockwise.

See this sports science thing isn't so hard!

Unless the leg that's getting the preponderance of use is his non-kicking leg. Then it evens out.
