He hasn't kicked a goal in the last 2 weeks but he kicked a goal in both games before that.Has he kicked a goal in the last 4 weeks? Maybe 1 or 2?

Brander was the same. Poor guy debuted against swans away and gets instantly dropped. No JK, JD and Fraser sucks ad Brander wont eve get a game.I don’t get why we played Ainsworth last week if we are going to drop him again.
Thought he was great. Didn't get a heap of it, but the 12 touches he had were up to standard I thought.I don’t get why we played Ainsworth last week if we are going to drop him again.
I like Sheed, and hope to see him back to playing good football.Well apparently from those in the know Sheed had a very good game last week in the 2s and we do need a bit of grunt in the midfield.

Yes do hope I haven't jinxed him!
I have no inside knowledge, but things I see isWell it's better than having bad form in the WAFL then bringing him in - as you said WAFL form is the only barometer we have. Being serious do you know what area of his game that the coaches want him to work on, and has that been addressed?
I think someone said he only played 50% game time (although I think it was a bit more). Coming from someone who had a very lustrous AFL career at the Blues himself (1 games, 0 brownlow votes) I can confirm the step up from WAFL to AFL (or even WAFL to VFL in my case) is a HUGE jump. The speed at which the game is played is mind boggling so I think Ainsworth has done well in 2 games to at least get touches and some involvement. He is pretty green so probably just giving him a taste every now and then. Not saying it's the correct call but he probably is down the pecking order a bit. How many minutes did he play last weekend? Also probably still has to work on his skills. All very well to get the ball - but it's what you do with it afterwards that counts.
If Waterman can't learn how to kick goals though he's not much use either, particularly when we need him to with the main players being out injured. Goals are what wins games!

Gotta give these kids some continuity though. No point letting them adjust to AFL level and sending them back to a WAFL slog fest.

Having a crack at tomorrow's announcement since I'm apparently addicted to posting imaginary teams
In: Mellen, Sheed, Nelson, Vardy, Petruccelle
Out: Ryan (personal)
B: Cole, Schofield, Hurn
HB: Jetta, Sheppard, Duggan
C: Gaff, Shuey, Masten
HF: Cripps, Mellen, Waterman
F: Rioli, McGovern, Lycett
R: Naitanui, Yeo, Redden

Mellen's debut to be confirmed/trumpeted tomorrow. Last four to miss out on Friday. Partington to remain out in the cold.

Check the Ryan article on AFL site now. The Ins are pretty much listed.
Vardy, Venables, Sheed and Petruccelle. And then off course Barrass if he passes test. So 5 changes. I did my 5 in my post.
He never made a tackle last week. Hes been dropped this year already as has Hutchings. We also haven't had Venables and Petch in for a while so dont be so sure.
Masten not having a tackle last week is at the lower end of our current issues. He'll play if fit.
