Almost at full strength. Only Kerridge and VB to come back into our best 22.

Hopefully we can have a good run with injuries over the next 2 months and we could sneak into the 8.

So much upside in these last 8 games. That Midfield is looking so good with Crouch back in and our rebounding power is going to be awesome with Hendo back in the side.

Lose to a bottom team, no changes. Beat top team, 4 changes. Seems legit.

Edit - before I get the predictable responses, I like the changes just not sure the wisdom in changing up a winning team that much and the message it sends to the players who did well and are now back in the SANFL (Reilly excepted)

I love Truck but surely after Thompson's performance against the Powa we should have given him an extra week off and see what Luke can bring to the table?

I actually won't blame the kid when he goes home at the end of the year. Has been treated like shit by this club considering every time he's called up he performs. I'm happy with the other 3 ins and all but I'm curious as to what more Lyons has to do in order to secure more game time. Even though I'm happy Porps played and played well how did he manage to jump from emergency with Lyons as sub to in the starting lineup whilst Lyons remains sub?

Baffling

Hendooooooooooooooo. Lyons squeezed out now given we are near full strength, bar Kedge and VB. For the posters who will lose it over Lyons going out, who should he replace exactly? And don't say Martin.

Who does Lyons replace? I'm going to ask the exact same question to anyone stupid to suggest it.

No one is 'losing it' over Lyons being omitted. It's a strong team.

What people are confused about is why 2 emergencies came into the game against the Power that Lyons was named as sub and apparently leapfrogged him in the queue to actually start the game. Thompson I can justify as they play very different roles but Porplyzia?

It makes perfect sense he's dropped, he's played all of 12 minutes of footy. What we're desperate to understand is why?

Lyons isn't going to make it. For better or worse, he's not going to be a staple at the AFC. Maybe the powers that be have decided he isn't good enough, or he isn't the type of player we need. I won't lose sleep over another a kid who may or may not have the potential.

Like the changes. Good to see Reilly isn't given a free pass again. Laird is a plus, as is Mackay. Looking forward to seeing Hendo out there again in the 1sts.

Do you actually read the posts or do you just look at the username and immediately spit out your dummy?

WHY was Lyons leapfrogged in the queue by Porplyzia against the Power?

I thought Porps was pretty bloody good against Port, but of course he was never going to keep his place in the side.

Lyons and Thompson are the same. They just aren't in our best 22 at the present moment.

I'm guessing all 3 will be gone at seasons end. Porps will retire/play for our reserves and the other 2 will just tell the club to stick it.

Back on topic though, would be great to have a fully fit and firing Henderson in the lineup again.

He and Smith delivering laserbeams across the ground.

Good changes imo. Tough to drop players after last week but all 4 players returning are in our best 22.

Will be interesting who gets picked as an emergency. Hendo looks most likely on bench but could do with a full game hit out & also allows Smith to be released into the midfield. Martin would be the next likely choice. Would go for 1 of our sore mids like Douglas.

I would have thought you've already answered your question, our team is pretty much full strength. Lyons is not in our best 22 when full strength. I didn't understand Porps starting over Lyons last week either, but he played his role well.

I am sniffing a late out again. Our strongest team for the year by some margin though I htink Hendo is a huge risk given his lack of match time since a big injury.

I don't know and don't care, both aren't in our best 22. Maybe they thought Porps would be better in the wet? I'm not sure what that has to do with this weeks game.
