Changes v GWS

This is crazy talk I know but I would seriously consider playing Frampton. Stand him near the goalsquare let him ruck a few minutes, sit him on the bench now and again. He's genuinely scary.
Agreed, imo we have have to fast track a few young guys. I have said so many times before, our skill level is terrible and has been since 2004, the question is why, i can only assume that the requirements used for recruiting are flawed. Does good character = skilled footballer. i fully understand why Character is important but you also need the skills required to execute the game plan.

Kens post game interview was honest and brutal.
I hope/expect drastic changes since Yes We Ken 2015 is over

out
schulz - unless he signs a contract
hoon - how many times i gotta say it, he isnt afl standard
oshea - like a chook with its head cut off
neade - ive tried to defend him but ive had enough
lobbe - been saying it for months, he isnt up t it.

those that people are saying should be out
moore - give him every game this year to prove himself
young - same as moore
ebert - as shite as his kicking is, he still does a heap more than others
white - unfortunatley he is a downhill skier..but we always knew that. when we are on fire, we need him in the team

one player that i would consider trading is westhoff. he is gold when he cares, but so amny times i saw him jogging when he needed to be sprinting. he dont get dropped this week cos we got noone else, but skating on thin ice.

in
monfries - i was calling for him to be an out, but i was wrong. he needs to be in there.
redden - lets see how much fitness he has gained
krak - no need to explain
amon - run boy run
shaw - lets take a look at what he has got

If Lobbe plays next week i'm probably going to start a thread calling for Hinkley to be sacked.

There is absolutely no valid reason to continue to play him at this stage. Nothing. If he's that mentally fragile that he can't handle being dropped for his poor performances, then delist him.

I'm really tired of our club striving so hard to embody the spirit of the Care Bears.

So do we play guys who have a limited ceiling but at least give an effort ( exhibit 1 - S. Gray) or do we take a chance on our talented guys who are 'too cool for school' and pick and choose when they're going to show up?

We have plenty of both on our list- and neither will take us where we need to go.

I don't know what changes we make and I don't know if they'll make much of a difference. Our club has gone down the wrong path and it will take more then a few tweaks at the selection table to make a difference.

Take your pick I have seen at least ten changes on this thread that I probably see merit in but we are not going to make ten changes. Sooner or later Harvey has to get a go, I would like to see if Redden has enough in the tank for AFL football, I would not mind Butcher getting a go in defence at the expense of Trengove who could move forward or into the ruck. I would also like to see a bit of Palmer at AFL level. I have argued that Krakouer is a better proposition in defence than Impey. Amon and Ah Chee need to get as many games under the belt as possible. There are options but I doubt that we will see them all by the end of the season let alone in a week.

I would resist the temptation to resurrect Monfries, Jonas, Mitchell and Stewart. These guys are in the SANFL for a reason. Hopefully we will not see deckchair selections such as Paul Stewart replacing Andrew Moore. We all know what Stewart and Moore have to offer so why not look to the future?

The bottom line is we can probably pick a side that will beat GWS at home but will that help us in the long run?

There is no possible reason why Lobbe should be picked next week.
I think our selections all year have been a major factor in our shit season, and Ken needs to take the blame.
Jonas should have been dropped 4 weeks prior to when he was, Lobbe should have been dropped around the same time.
We have pretty much pissed away a season without testing our list and KPP, continually playing the same players.

I've never seen a ruckman tap to the opposition so well.

Out
O'Shea - Genuinely shit footballer and has been in every year of his career apart from 2013. The fact that he has so many fanbois on here astounds me.
Moore & Young - Had their chance to step up today with Wines out. Neither of them did anything.
Colquhoun - I like him as a player generally, but just about every one of his disposals today went straight to the opposition. A player like him who likes to take his time is always going to struggle big-time if his teammates aren't working hard enough to make options for him.

I'd like to have Lobbe out too, but unfortunately Harvey and Redden both stunk it up today.

Neade probably did less than Young or Moore, but I'd leave him in ahead of those two based on him having more upside than either of those two. I wouldn't really be complaining if he was dropped for someone like Jesse Palmer though.

In
Monfries - 26 touches and 4 goals in the SANFL today. Got dropped, took it like a man and had a big game in the SANFL to earn his way back in. Take note, Jonas.
Krakouer - 19 touches and 3 goals, we desperately need his kicking skills back in the side. If he's so terribly unfit, make him sub.
Ah Chee & Amon - Moore and Young have had their chances and haven't taken them. The season is shot. Both Ah Chee and Amon racked up the ball in the SANFL. Time to start getting games into the next generation of second string midfielders.

Please no Mitchell. He had 38 touches and a goal in the SANFL today. I don't care. It's well and truly proven time and time again that he can't translate that form to AFL level, and he needs to go at the end of the year.

No, no and more no.
That is more of the fringe stuff we've had all ****ing year.
Out: Westhoff and Lobbe.
In: Harvey and whoever is tall and fit.

I understand your frustration but there is no way Westhoff should be traded. When we have a team relying on dumb footballers with average skills to make up 22 we cannot afford to lose someone with the size, skills, nous, and tank of Westhoff. He will always frustrate but we could afford to carry him every week if we weren't also carrying half a dozen usual suspects who are never going to make it as AFL footballers.

Let me put it another way, are our premiership chances better or worse if we trade Westhoff to Hawthorn. Imagine what he would do in that side. Andrew Moore, not so much.

That's probably true about recruiting , cant think of many , besides Butch , that can stick up for themselves and not get pushed around , certainly not Ebert , Hoon and co , just go back to the Trengove v Richmond disgrace.

Way too much negativity re Westhoff. The guy is 199cm and is given roles for a mid.
I would be happy for Westy to go to CHB full time. Trengrove is the one who needs to get out of second gear.

I'd like to see the likes of Palmer, Frampton etc get a game but not too many at once or it might be counter productive for their confidence.

Dead set true , that's whats so depressing , week after bloody week.
