Agree with your interpretation and given the distinct possibility of rain, I think (rightly or wrongly) the selection panel has chosen more experienced, harder bodies.

ANYWAY, congrats to Ethan Hughes, looks a very very likely player and scored a well earned run at the top level.

I was at the game and Subes played in the centre square and kicked 3 great
goals and not directly in front or over a short distance. He played like the shackles had been released.He is a quality player that will be there when we need to be at our toughest. Do you watch the Docker games on TV or do you go to the game to see the hard work and effort that Subes puts in that those on TV don't see hence their bias towards Subes.

Putting aside the Suban debacle for a minute; Clarke getting dropped is a fairly big deal. He's really been making little impact (effort) at the elite level for some time - it's like he's been asked to chip in a bit of part-time work here and there but no one's expecting much else.

Have the club given up on him? Or he given up the club - or both?

It's worrying to know that if he has to wait another year or two for Sandi/Griffin to pack it in he's almost guaranteed to head elsewhere after this year. I don't believe the NBL hype; if he gets a reasonable offer from a Victorian club he'll take it, and he will.

I've been his biggest critic but our ruck stocks are wiped clean with him gone in the next couple of years.

Tucker and Grey have played >20 games they will get their chances.

Did you get to the Perth and Peel game last week ? if you did you wouldn't be making the comment about Subes you made above. He kicked 3 goals for Peel (wich is just under half the 7.4 your team kicked for the whole game) against your scaly lot and played really well and deserves his spot for this weekend salim malik

Zac Clarke getting dropped is surely the biggest news. Sandi injured and Griffin is 30, yet Zac Clarke still isn't AFL material. This spells the end of any career he has left at Fremantle. 26 this season, should be priming and making the ruck spot his. Anything but.
Griffin clearly has the heart and hunger to play for Freo. No idea what Clarke has these days, just like he's not passionate enough for the game or just knows he doesn't want to be here in WA

FWIW, 26 is his high (vs Collingwood 2013, 20 kicks, 2 goals). It was in a thrashing (157 - 44), our biggest win ever I think.

.... those were the days.

EDIT: Also has 2 x 25 and 2 x 24 possession games to his name.

Saying RTB has lost the plot/not man for the rebuild and all that crap is pretty rough just cause he dropped 1 youth.

An exp player is prob needed this week, though frustrating Suban can be, he will add some toughness.

We should be happy that 4 spots seems to be guaranteed to youth this year. We still get to see Weller, Blakely, Pearce Hughes do their thing. Weller & Pearce have locked in their spots for now, let's see if the other 2 can do the same with guys like Langdon/DeBoer/Grey/Mzungu/Clancee/Tucker knocking down the door.
