A legit question and I'm not being a smart arse but can you tell me what this x factor is that Crosier possesses . In the 4 years he has played firstly at E Perth, then Peel and Freo I haven't caught a glimpse of it . If its the mark he took in under eighteens fair enough but since then he has produced nada.

Might not count but his awesome tackle on Shaun Burgoyne (who is almost never caught) and then cool checkside finish from the boundary in that win over Hawthorn in 2014 is the first that comes to mind. Not sure if that's "X-factor" but it was pretty special imo.

If that wasn't Xfactor I don't know what is, Was an awesome goal though.

His last half dozen matches of 2014 (a couple as sub) was his best run of form. He was one of our better players over that short period IMHO, including in 2 losing finals.

His game against the Cats in Geelong was apart of that stretch, think he kicked 2 or 3. The forward line looked dangerous back then.

I thought he'd done enough to solidify his spot in the team for the next season after that run. I think if Ross had his time again he'd have played him from rnd 1 2015 onwards.

I honestly reckon Yarran is worth a go. If he was a midfielder no but as a forward what is there to lose. We need more goals

He would be cooked by quarter time. Needs time to get up to the fitness level required for league footy.

Couple of kicks in the Port final in 2014 stick out in my memory. One he kicked inboard into the corridor quite deliberately off the outside of the boot to hit (Hill?) another player on the chest. I still think he is our best set shot on goal despite the last couple of weeks. And the mark attempts obviously. Peel there's been a few times i've noticed he's stuck a mark he had no right to and his kicking there has always seemed a class above to me, you obviously see a lot more games than me though.

I dunno, i'm not saying he's Walters waiting to break out of his shell, I just think his skills are a cut above most of the list and worth persevering with given the context of the current team.

Why not? I think he possibly could be due to the all the points you listed such as great field kicker, great set shot goal kicker, potential marks of the year.. Just needs to stop going missing in games.

The goal he kicked in our win against Richmond. Pressure set shot from 45m out on an angle and he kicked it. He is a good set shot. I can't believe we don't use him as a target in the forward line. Instead he seems to be a link player, trying to receive the ball from our mids and deliver it to...... Mayne :drunk:

Same was said in the lead up to the Adelaide game which we effectively kicked ourselves out of.
Keep the same stoppage, defensive structure in the midfield and we're every chance. Get on top early and be physical inside will limit their forwards. Barlow/Neale will get their hands on it, Hill continue his outside run. Forced a few turnovers against Adelaide, and quickly rebounded inside 50. Just need to kick the goals when needed, obviously put scoreboard pressure on.

Good question about why has Crozier not been used more as a target in the forward line. I would also rather have Mayne (who I think is playing ok albeit couldn't kick a goal to save His life) delivering the ball into the 50 to Crozier rather than the other way around. I guess they have never thought of Crozier as being big enough in the body to compete in the forward line. I would like to see this happen because I certainly know who would kick more goals at the moment.

I'm hoping we persist with Crozier. (Many of us) have been bitchin about getting in players who have great football skills. Well he has them. The problem is he has found Cotchin's hidey hole and hangs out there for a bit during games. I just wonder if he is being played in a position where he will be most effective, or if the role he has been given doesn't match his natural game? Dumping him in our half-forward no-man's land or as a handball link player in heavy traffic may not suit what he is best at. I am hoping something falls into place whether it be a new position, freedom to roam and hit up leads on the wing or half back, or a modified role, cause he definitely has skills we can use in these times of reduced stoppages.

From memory he played in the first of our NAB games and starred (5 goals???) and it looked like he'd just picked up from where he left off the previous season. And then in the next game he had an absolute howler. He was either dropped for the next game or got injured in it but he never regathered form from there on until now really.

To say he has produced nothing is a bit silly, has kicked plenty of classy goals both at Peel and for Freo. I think he has a natural goal sense and is capable of being a good player given the opportunities. The neverending trend of Peel, Sub, Peel, Sub surely didn't do Croz's career any favours either.

Really,plenty of classy goals ?.

Tabs kicked a great goal from the boundary into the wind that was said by the commentators to be impossible on Saturday . Does Tabs have the X factor?

Your reading comprehension is really poor.

Someone posted that they thought Croz had X-factor. Then multiple people started stating the good things that he has done in the past. Nobody is trying to claim these singular acts make him the next Walters but they suggest that he has the tools in his arsenal and just needs to put it all together.

He can kick goals under pressure, he does have good foot skills, can get up high to take a speccie and has shown great defensive pressure. Now we need to give him consistant game time to see if he can string it all together.

Plonk in the forward 50 and let him do his thing... Crozier that is. Great hands on the lead, can get up, great kick and puts pressure on. He ain't a midfielder and the forward flank is death of all creativity in a player

Criticising reading comprehension on here is a bit rich, who the hell do you think you are . My opinion of Crosier is that he doesn't have the tools to stay in a game long enough. After 4 years nothing he has produced has convinced me other wise. If you don't like what or how I write as I said there is the ignore button.

For what it's worth I think I mentioned X Factor.

To me X Factor is a quality you can't quite define. It's a sense that someone has something but it can't also be measured. It's usually related to things outside your traditional box of what footy players have. Otherwise we'd just say he's a good kick or he reads the play well or he has sticky hands.

Crozier looks to have elements of all of these and sometimes none at all.

For me it's a non descript term that I use to say someone has something yet to be displayed consistently, but there is an underlying feel they could have something.

I guess another word is simply potential, but I'd use that word for 99% of other young players who are making a name for themselves.

Crozier IMO has the feel of someone who could still turn out to be anything or nothing at all. For me that is X Factor. It's unknown but with a sense of excitement.

I'd say all of our other players have potential. Even Alex Pearce I would define as potential. He could potentially become the best CHB of the modern era, but we could all possibly see that now.

I could see Crozier back at Peel this week and struggling for most of the season AND I could see him flick a small switch through another opportunity this week against GWS and start a consistent run into becoming one of our best players. That range also defines X Factor.

I don't think this bloke is a 'play your role' when given the opportunity type of player. I think he needs a decent run at it and then when he starts to believe he belongs, we may just see another level or 3 in his play which we all hope he has up his sleeve.

Thanks for the response .:thumbsu: 4 years on a list is a long time when all you have to show is a pontential tag. Would he get a game for the Hawks. They seem to be the measuring stick for whether a player is good enough.
