I reckon Parto will debut this week .. Deserves it too ..
I hope he does. Slap in the face to him if he doesn't. Id bring Hutchy, Venables and Parto in with Nelson. Masto, Redden, Wellers and another spud to come out. Maybe lecca.

Going by what Cox said on the radio....Looks like Hutchings will be in.
That'll be for Redden.

If its for Mutimer....

Ugggh such an uninspiring choice to keep selecting this spud.

Bring in Partington instead.

Not a fan of Hutch but I have to admit he was hard done by being dropped after his last game. He competed hard and was effective.

He's 26 as of today (happy birthday), he's a known quantity and that quantity is bleah.

Would rather we blood Partington and see what he can do at the next level.

Just that he will be one for consideration as he has done exactly what is asked in the WAFL with hs game on the weekend. He is a 100% upgrade on Redden but i hope it isn't at the expense of Mutimer or the non inclusion of Parto. ( as mentioned by Biggie ).

I noticed an article on their website with some inflated stats on partos game:

"Partington’s 35-disposal, 20-contested possession, six-clearance and five-tackle game was central to East Perth’s fourth-quarter revival.

He applied 13 pressure acts, notched 13 one percenters and provided the Royals with plenty of run through the guts of the ground"

Surely he gets a game after that!

Upgrade on Redden is very debatable, Redden's best at AFL is far and away better than anything Hutchings has done albeit at another club.

I had high hopes for Redden but its like With Scooter how we all hoped he would get back to his 2012 form which never happened! Redden has had a full pre-season and is in his second year at the club so there should be no excuses. Personally i would rather not play Hutchings or Redden and just bring in Partington/back in Mutimer. But if they do go down the Hutchings path at least he will go out there actually lay some tackles and isn't bad for a goal or two when he goes forward.

would have loved the clearance and tackle numbers to be more but then again beggars cannot be choosers.

Unfortunately we're yet to see that in nearly a season and a half.

20-contested possession, six-clearance and five-tackle

If those numbers are real, he'd have to be close to replacing Redden in the 22, Jack's average numbers for 2017 are -
16 Disposals, 7 contested ,3 clearances, 5 tackles and he's kicked 1 goal over the first 9 games.

That is abysmal for a 26 yr old. Surely Partington could match or even better that if given the midfield time. The game isn't all about stats but i struggle to see what Redden is doing that a rookie couldn't.

Injuries be a cruel mistress.

Either way dropping one for the other is shuffling deck chairs, bring in the new blood!

Reddens worst evens it out. Hutch busts his gut, not sure Redden does that as much as hutch.

But I do agree with you to bring youf into the side instead of those two.

Hutch should be in to replace Priddis and Parto should come in for Redden. Mutes can play through the guts more so we can see what he can offer when he plays his natural role. We have plenty of others that can rotate through the middle as well.
