Fmac bloody unlucky to dropped for Petrie after only 1 WAFL game. Disappointing to see Mutimer dropped. Sheed should be safe after 2 really good games. Can't see Cripps being dropped, unless they think he's still a bit underdone. Nelson better make it, he's the only possible replacement for Wellingham in the squad obviously. Would be nice to see Karps get a game, but expecting Hutchings to be the replacement for Redden since Karps seems to be more of an outside player, although he will offer a lot more speed in the midfield. No surprise that the big names were spared tbh...

Out: Mutimer, McInnes, Barrass, Wellingham, Redden

Didn't expect much else. Still no idea what the MC expect from petrie but hes not going to be a panacea. Redden probably the only really good omission. Mcinnes and Mutimer haven't been great, but at least theyre going to be around in the future

I doubt Jetta will play but what has he done to even deserve a spot on the extended bench? The other one that really gets me is dropping frase and bringing in Petrie. McInnes has been OK and you drop him for Petrie.
These types of changes make me lean towards time to go simmo

I think it'll be Hutchings (Redden), Petrie (McInnes), Nelson (Wellingham), McKenzie (Barrass) and Jetta (Mutimer)

Hill's named on the field so he'll be in. Between Hutchings, Jetta and Karpany for the final spot, probably in that order of likelihood.

Simpson is weak as piss. After a game like that in Melbourne, where our senior players and leaders yet again go absolutely missing, they get a free pass and remain in the team whilst our kids and guys on the periphery get cut.

Yet again, he had an opportunity to drop a senior player to send a huge message, and he didnt have the balls to do it. And in the future, he will likely be baffled again when this bullshit in melbourne repeats itself.

Fmac is unlucky but the writing was on the wall for him when he got put in the backline in the second half last week. If Petrie spuds it up, Fmac must come back in though.

Would love to see Karps and Nelson in. Hill and Schofield I guess would be my other picks, though I won't complain if its Emac instead of Schoey.

Mutimer to work on defensive elements before carving it up in the WAFL.

Time has got to be running out on Priddis, before you would pick Hutchings or blood Partington.

Eagles will win this week but that's not the point. Rather lose the game by dropping senior players for kids if it means they'll show up every game in future

Adam Simpson and MC are weak and disappointing. IMO these changes are nothing other than reshuffle of usual names. On top of that you drop youngsters like Barrass and Mut and once again give another lifeline to senior guys like masten, hurn, lecras, darling even prridis. It is crystal clear Simmo has not evolved as a coach. He is not proactive, simply reactive. Or.....he has no influence what so ever in selection, either case, he has to go.Certain players will never get dropped. This is all on West Coast board on their poor decision making selecting a coach. They are not alone in this department. Lions ( Voss), Collingwood and Essendon ( twice in Knight and Hird I think) have been guilty of that. To me no individual is bigger than a club, regardless of what they have done in the past, you judge them on performance and dropping these guys shows clear inconsistecy as I can clearly name 3 or 4 more players who should have been dropped instead. I am furious!
I am going to go as far as saying that even if we win the flag, I will now be anti Simmo. His approach, vision( if he has any) and plans are not on par with what I expect as a West Coast Eagles coach.

we will win this game, and the one next and maybe the one after that. Then in Melbourne we will get destroyed by dogs, saints and Collingwood and nothing will change. I'm over it.

I can see where these changes are coming from, panel probably feels we need to see what these combinations can do after a few solid weeks of WAFL before adopting a more youthful policy.

Mutes can go back and dominate for a week or two.
Barrass can work on his defensive side, has been costing us goals recently.
McInness can go back and keep the pressure on Drew.
Redden can get a touch.

Nelson in for WHam no-brainer.
Jetta won't play; I feel it's encouragement to let him know if he keeps building there's a spot.
Karps for mutes (this is my hope).
Hutchings comes in for Redden.

Toss a coin between Schoey and Ezy, but Schoey probably offers more flexibility.
