Partington can't come in, he's just not ready yet. Even though he does get big numbers in the WAFL, quite a lot of his possessions just aren't damaging enough for it to translate at AFL level.

Hell of a lot better than the same seagulls we see every away game. The kids may not be the most talented guys in the afl right now but they'll have more guts than half the guys running around atm

Hes been average because our midfield is ****. Hes a playmaker not a match winner. Hard to make plays when no ones moving

Hurn is a better player when he has no responsibility. Strip him of the captaincy next year and he can go back to playing at his best.

Vardy wasn't bad around the ground and took some good marks ... Kicked 2 goals iirc. Ruck is not our problem - it's run and spread. We are far too slow.

unfortunately the run and skill was missing today and probably gifted the first 2 goals to Essendon

Our midfield needs a complete overhaul, Priddis too old too slow, gaff too weak, Masten closer to C grade than B grade. Mitchell and Shuey I'll cut some slack due to recent performances and track record, and Duggan and Sheed are showing enough that they'll come good with games. The listed though only get spots because our midfield depth is just as weak.

Either we're in a window now and look to improve on our deficiencies immediately or we rebuild which means lots of trades and delistings.

Trouble is the ones we want to trade, nobody wants. Just drop one of our old mids. Comparison...Mitchell is quicker than Priddis but Priddis tackles as long as the ball is no more than 2 metres away. Mitchell can kick and handball, Priddis...nah. Mitchell can spoil and take a mark..Priddis..no. Lastly Mitchell can set up play.no contest really is it

Schofield . Much quicker . Wellers to a wing. Nelson off hbf. Barrass remains at fullback . Gov CHF . Petrie for McInnes . Redden out for partington , give the kid a chance I reckon .
