Just read Jetta is in?

How dare you

At least Nelson gets a game. Happy to back Jetta in as at least his form in the WAFL shows that he has been trying.

The two players brought in Nelson and Jetta both have good pace , which is good and needed.

Hill also has added pace so maybe the MC has targetted our lack of pace.

So final changes are effectively

Nelson for Wellingham - this was a no brainer given wellers injury. Probably saved Butler

Petrie for McInnes - six of one, half a dozen of another. Both players unlikely to be on our list next year and are placeholders for Lycett. Would have preferred big Fraser on the basis that he might be salvageable as depth and had been OK in his two games. Not sure Petrie offers much more although he is a competitive bugger and won't mind mixing it with Mumford which probably got him over the line
Schofield for Barrass - sexual has been a little out of sorts recently but since other players have been given an opportunity to respond he perhaps can consider himself a little stiff.
Hill for Mutimer - moots has had a taste which will hold him in good stead having seen what AFL is like. I'm ok with Hill coming in but would perhaps have preferred Karpany to be given a shot.
Jetta for Redden - Redden needed to be dropped, I don't think anyone could argue otherwise. Hutchings would have been a more like for like but they've gone with outside run in preference to contested ball. Change only works if Jetta comes in with the right mindset and works his skinny little arse off

Players like Sheppard, Butler, Masten, Lecras, Duggan and Priddis who have all been inconsistent need to lift. Cripps would also want to have more impact than he did last week

Karpany, Lamb and Partington I hope have been assured that they're close and to keep plugging away

Individually I like all the changes bar Petrie for McInnes (Nelson was a no-brainer, ditto Hill, Barrass was looking jaded, it's a good time to trial Jetta again for a block of games).

On balance though I agree that the age makeup is off-kilter. Should have found room for Parto or Karps in there somewhere.
