Out: McInnes, Mutimer, Redden, Barrass, Wellingham
In: Petrie, Jetta, Hutchings, MacKenzie, Nelson

Jetta and Hutchings are the form players in the reserves, automatic ins. Mutimer and Redden being carried atm.
Petrie probably underdone but still better than McInnes
Barrass is all over the place, starting to believe the hype.
Wellingham 0 tackles today, how can a defender be part of a 10 goal loss and not lay on a single tackle? Nelson back in and can cover the tall if we shift McGovern forward (instead of playing Butler on Hooker)

Have to make a statement this week - just has to happen!

Darling with his 1.5? Seriously...

Make it mean something...dropping Mutimer probably isn't going to help this mob get their heads around the 'off games' being unacceptable and worthy of omission.

Priddis and LeCras have to go.

Partington can't come in, he's just not ready yet. Even though he does get big numbers in the WAFL, quite a lot of his possessions just aren't damaging enough for it to translate at AFL level.
Lol yeah because Priddis, Redden and Masto are so damaging....

What the **** is wrong with our selection panel? Redden hasn't done anything at all at senior level and is still playing. He's had 8 possessions. Mutimer has had 12.

They need to decide where we are at. If you want to develop and get youth into the side, then great play the kids - but if they believe we can play finals, you aren't getting a game until you show some serious form.

Cripps comes in for Hill after a month away from football and Lecras still plays. I honestly have no idea what we're doing or where we are as a football club.

I understand the selection of Cripps but too soon. Not having played for 3 weeks, it was a bad idea to rush him back in. Terrible decision.

So play a kid who'll have as much impact at the elite level as Mutimer has? We're contending, not rebuilding.

What do you think he means?

If it is what I think it means then it's ridiculous. We aren't rebuilding, and we shouldn't with half a season still to go.

I think we're stuck in no mans land.

Not quite there to be real threats, but too good to rebuild

This is an ordinary place to be.

Who does everyone see as the next cab off the rank as far as young mids go. Parto or venables? I reckon swap one of those in for redden. Nelson in for someone.

Should be
Out: Butler, priddis, redden, Lecras, masten
In: youth

Will be
Out: McInnes mutimer
In: Petrie hill. (Just to make us older and slower)

Soft Simpson.

You can easily have no tackles if the all comes so easily that there are loose players everywhere.

I'm not usually one for drastic statements at the selection table but there's a strong case for a lot of changes this week.

Out: Darling, Redden, Wellingham, Barrass, Mutimer
In: Petrie, Jetta, Nelson, MacKenzie, Hill

B: Sheppard, MacKenzie, Nelson
HB: Hurn, McGovern, Yeo
C: Gaff, Mitchell, Jetta
HF: Cripps, McInnes, Sheed
F: LeCras, Kennedy, Petrie
R: Vardy, Priddis, Shuey
I: Butler, Duggan, Masten, Hill
E: Schofield, Wellingham, Mutimer

Darling has been in struggletown, the MC needs to #sendamessage to him. McInnes should be preferred on current form.

Midfield is too slow and Redden is adding nothing at the moment. It's now or never for Jetta. His efforts at East Perth have been encouraging the last couple of weeks, bring him in and tell him he's got three or four weeks to lock down his spot.

Wellingham's form has been poor most of the year, think he's behind Butler at the moment. He comes out for Nelson's return.

Barrass has been struggling, beaten comprehensively by his opponent the last few weeks and it won't get any easier with Cameron and Patton coming up. Bring MacKenzie in.

Hill probably unlucky to make way for Cripps this week, Mutimer's now had four games and shown a bit but probably not enough, it's time to send him back down.

There is a real feeling of deckchair shuffling about those changes but so be it.

Is Lecras just popular to hate or is it because people expect him to kick 4 every week?

I think he shat all over Cripps and Mutimer and he's better than Hill as well. He ****ed up in missing 3 gettable shots, to me that was his biggest crime today, much the same as Darling. Cripps was a shit inclusion.

OUT: Redden, Mutimer, McInnes, Butler
IN: Partington, Lamb, Petrie, Nelson

I want to keep Mutimer in the side but I'd also like to see Lamb given a go off the HFF

I'd like to see Lamb get a crack. I know it sounds like I'm being "that one guy who suggests we add Lamb each week" but there are proper reasons.

  1. Darling has been routinely failing to live up to anyone's expectations, unless they are happy with the odd goal or two a game, elementary misses during crucial moments of games, the typical fling back of the head and softness in the contest?
  2. Lecras is yet another who should be thankful we have no decent small forward or damaging HFF depth. Everyone knows his performances away from home are terrible 'most' of the time. The man needs to be made accountable.
  3. Hill has been dropped, undeservedly IMO. Cripps is clearly underdone as he had next to no impact today.
  4. Our forward line is lacking a spark and Rioli is still weeks off. When was the last time we flat tracked? Does anyone even remember?

Meanwhile Lamb has been improving in the WAFL, hitting the scoreboard and generally getting involved. From Keysers reports his attitude seems to be a positive as well lately.

Bottom line is he's on his last legs at the club (hopefully we retain him for next year) and i honestly cannot see anything wrong with the idea of giving him a go after such an absolute dismal performance. OR we can just rock in week out with the same under performing team and be found out again whenever we have to head to Melbourne.

What's there to lose? The kids in his 3rd year, his future is unclear and he's obviously passionate about his footy :fire:
