I think it's fair to say that Partington isn't ready but then again neither is Mutimer and, if we're completely honest, Duggan isn't either.

The fact is we play at least 1 young mid for development. If we're all about winning, Hutchings should take that spot. If we're rotating development a bit, Partington is our man and if we're hedging between winning and development, it's Kurt.

Personally, I think Murtimer could do with a week off (I don't think there's WAFL this weekend) since he's young and playing seniors in hard. After that one full game in the guts for EP to show off what he's learned and then back in line for senior selection.

So had mutimer. Mutimer is being played out of position but is more capable on playing on flank than Parto.
Would nearly prefer Karpany come in than Parto if they're going to play him on a HFF. His evasiveness may bring a little swerveability to our forward line.

I love how Parto cant get a game according to some because his disposal isnt perfect, yet we have the biggest butcherer of the footy as our number one mid haha
Hutchings isn't our best mid tho.

Neither is Gaff. NOBODY is ready. I know i'm certainly not ready. JK should still be developing in the WAFL!

Yes, Shuey's poor game has pretty well gone unnoticed. In particular when Danaher kicked his fourth I think with that rover's snap. Shuey fumbled the ball, saw Danaher ahead of him and hesitated or pulled up. Not a good look.

Shuey has been putrid for two weeks in a row. Falling over, can't shake a tackle, fumbly. No idea what is the matter with him. Have to laugh at The West giving him second best player. WTF?

Out: Priddis, Butler, LeCras, masto, Mclnnes

In: partington, Nelson, Rioli, Venables, Pertrie

Pridda is a WCE great but this year he has not shown enough. We have to many of the same type of midfielders. Prida and redden a very simiar, as in they both always under the pack feeding the ball to the likes of Mitchell, shuey, gaff ect players that have better efficiency. At this stage of the season redo has done better (still have not seen the best of him)

Mclnnes won't be a star for us, no need to give him anymore game time, Pertie was included to our team for short term while Nic nat is out. I will be very surprised if Simmo doesn't select Pertrie this week.

I know it's exciting to think about what Rioli might offer but it's beyond ridiculous to consider brininging him in after one reserves game on managed minutes

Out: McInnes, Mutimer, Redden, Barrass, Wellingham
In: Petrie, Jetta, Hutchings, MacKenzie, Nelson

Jetta and Hutchings are the form players in the reserves, automatic ins. Mutimer and Redden being carried atm.
Petrie probably underdone but still better than McInnes
Barrass is all over the place, starting to believe the hype.
Wellingham 0 tackles today, how can a defender be part of a 10 goal loss and not lay on a single tackle? Nelson back in and can cover the tall if we shift McGovern forward (instead of playing Butler on Hooker)
Mackenzie back in our team will not help, he can't mark or kick. Barrass has played under 20 games and is already a better footballer.

IIRC, Bennell was initially a small forward at Melbourne, then we turned him into a small defender with mixed results. We then decide to put him back to a small forward role where he trains all pre-season with some decent returns, then in a game where we get no forward supply coz our mids get smashed, he kicks one goal and then gets dropped as the scapegoat. It was one of the shittiest things ive seen our club do in a long time.
I usually agree with you but to me Bennell was an experienced player who just never quite came on. He frequently panicked and showed little composure when pressured. He did do a few good evasive runs but towards the end he just played pretty poorly and had been in and out of the side for good reason
Personally looked as though he thought he was going to take possession and started to try and wrong foot Daniher but fumbled the ball and then was wrong footed himself.
I agree...spent it before he had it as a plenty of players do but as he is west Coast, the Melb media create something more. Lyon and his cronies never even spoke about the WC game when they were winning but were foaming at the mouth over this one..admittedly they had planty of ammunition to use

Fitness doesn't matter, his confidence is up so get him in.

According to some numpty that tweeted me on the weekend.

(Hello if that numpty's reading this)

I'd be inclined to bring in Nelson for Butler and Partington/Karpany for Redden

Give Mutimer more midfield time and let Karpany have a go on the flank.

Re: nelson - he has gone past butler anyway IMO. Butts may stay in for Wellingham regardless.

I want to see changes, but not at the expense of a winning side. I think the biggest messages would be to Priddis or Lecras. I think Priddis is easier to replace for a one off game, but in saying that his weaknesses will be less obvious at subi.

There needs to be some sore players rested, hopefully not Shuey, but maybe Wellingham and Barrass if they're too sore to contest properly.

So Wellers is out for 2 with an ankle. Partington in a cast. Have been told Venables will play this week. Sucks about Parto but good news for Venables to play.
Hey what now about Parto?

It kills me to say but our younger ugly little brother freo made a heap of changes when they were on all 4s... it was the right choice, we need to do the same thing. We do have a lot of talent on our list, just need to play them
