I love when this board overreacts before all the facts are out. Sando said Laird picked up a corkie during last weeks game, and he did well to play through it, but that he was struggling to recover from it this week. Young player, it happens. I think this is what has helped Porps earn a reprieve, while Mckernan has come in for Tex, and Lyons for Pets (going by where they are named on the field).

Bad luck for the guy, but Sando said he was disappointed to lose him this week after his good form against Carlton, so I'm sure we'll see him back soon enough.

Porp gets dropped and then comes back without playing a game? WTF

I hope he is the Sub.

Love Lyons and McKernan in. Smack offers a whole lot more options then Johnstone does.

Smack can ruck and Forward LJ cant. A forward line of Jenkins and Smack height wise is hard to line up on. And considering we like bombing in long, will be helpful.

Cmon SMACK!!!!!!!!!!
I don't reckon he will be. That honour goes to Hendo or maybe even Wright on gut feel.

Interesting that Porplyzia and Lyons have been named on the field. So the sub will be one of Henderson, Vince, Jaensch or Wright.

Matthew Wright might be in line for a scare.

Why is McKernan in and Johnston isn't? Seriously, what does he have to do to get a game. This was the perfect opportunity for him with Walker out yet they still don't pick him. Baffled.

McKernan offers more. LJ is a one trick pony.
Jenkins now stays up forward. He gives Jacobs more of a rest too

What does Mckernan offer? Running around in circles with absolutely no intensity or urgency. At least LJ has a bit of potential and arrogance about him, weve seen all Smack has to offer and its not pretty

Thats bad luck for Laird. But he has shown enough for us to look forward to his future games, and upgrading from the Rookie list next year.
Not happy with Smack coming in, hopefully he can make me look like a toss for saying hes a spud. Looks like LJ is on the outside and might not be a Crow next year. Should have been picked this week. He is the only one for one replacement for Walker we have.
Porps is so out of form we send he out of the side where he doesnt get a game and bring him in again lacking match fitness. Master stroke AFC.
But good to see Lyons in. He needed a go.

Mckay for sub surely. Again he is under the radar, doesn't even rate a mention on AA.

Henderson on the surface looks like the perfect sub, but for some reason he seems to need some time to get into the game.

If LJ continues decent form (it doesnt even have to be outstanding) he will be in the side after McKernan fails the next 2 games. I dont want the guy to fail, i'd love to see this post quoted next week with me being heckled for being a moron, but i just dont see it happening.

Bad luck for Laird, hopefully he comes straight back in next week.

Interesting to see who plays as the small forward this week. i would have said Jeansch until Laird was named as an out. Maybe Wright will play Pet's role.

Pleased Brown came up after the head knock.

I'm also well pleased that Kerridge is still in after his quiet game last week. the younger ones are notoriously up and down in their first and second season, so it was not unexpected that he's struggle after the bulldogs game. He'll have a big job to do this week too.
