I remember there was a game in Tasmania between Hawthorn and St Kilda in 2009. During that week the Saints had a lot of injuries and some of their senior players pulled out just before the game. In the end Ross Lyon managed to steer his team to victory that day and we got smashed.

My point is, though you've lost two very good players, but at the same time it's a great opportunity for another two players to come in and fill in for the other players. Who knows, this could mean a breakout game from the likes of Sutcliffe, Sheridan, Neale and co. You should not underestimate your side at all. I reckon you'll still win this game.

Appreciate the comment, but in fairness to you guys, 2009 wasn't exactly a great year for you guys injury wise. To say your list was cut to shreds that year is an understatement.

Simpson or Mora are legitimate chances this week I reckon. Probably the fittest guys we've got playing WAFL atm.
If Deboer plays purely mid, then one of them could play HFF.

RTB hates making too many changes and he's already forced to make 3. Also with some of his comments regarding his contentment with Hannath atm I think Clarke might have to wait a while longer.

Hodge himself said he won't play but looks like Mitchell trained really well today. So Crowley can continue his love affair I think Mitchell will play. Have to wait and see

Don't think Mora and Simmons are legitimate chances, but would love to see De Boer in the guts. Need some real tough nuts in the guts. Particularly against the Hawks. You'd think he cancels out Sewell.

Given our history with calves injuries, it can be abit longer then two weeks to get over.. Such a high tempo game, don't think Hawthorn would even risk him getting injured further but make a good case if they are playing the selection game.. Crowley to Burgoyne will be a great match up..

My mate is a mad hawks supporter and he reckons they are playing ducks and drakes with Mitchell and there is no way he will play

Given our history with calves injuries, it can be abit longer then two weeks to get over.. Such a high tempo game, don't think Hawthorn would even risk him getting injured further but make a good case if they are playing the selection game.. Crowley to Burgoyne will be a great match up..

No logic behind my guess of Mitchell playing, just a feeling I've got. Hope I'm wrong.

Hodge/mitchell = Barlow / Fyfe for midfield losses

Silvagni for Dawson and will have to take Hale
Ibbotson back in to take on Gunston
Both underdone but reckon you have to rol the dice and stop the forward entries as much as possible.

Sylvia into Half forward, as don't think Burgoyne will be full time midfield so Deboer to follow him everywhere (HB /Mid)

Reckon Crowley will go to Lewis and think he will struggle and my bet he will snap. Mitchell, Hodge get Crowley tag before he does so will not be used to the attention.

Of Course I expect , my man Sheriden to tear it up, its his time and will step up to fill a midfield void

I'd like to hope Ross doesn't take that attitude - seems quite short sighted. I Can see where you're coming from though, more from a stability standpoint than anything else is suppose.
It's killing me seeing Hannath playing in place of a fit Clarke though, seriously hurting me ...

An antidote for the pain you're experiencing DMan 11 may be to listen to RTB describing how there would be a player revolt if he was to drop Hannath after he had performed precisely as he was asked in the first two rounds.

Thats right but Silvagni is not Dawsons replacement. Silvagni would get murdered by Roughhead or Hale and is to slow for Gunston
That will have to come from Luke or Johno covering Roughie and Hale and Ibbo to Gunston

What would Silvagni be good at, in your opinion? Delist material only?
