He is a free agent. He can go to who ever wants him for zilch. His knees are farrked so it hasn't been all his fault.
Salim isint apeness also injury the same pcl? Just curious to know.

"Lyon said he would like to expose more young players this week and give them a taste of what it's like to face the three-time reigning premiers in hostile territory."

So we are going to see more youngsters in the line-up against the Hawks. I like that they are willing to expose them in a game we are almost no chance no matter who plays. APearce, Weller, Hughes and Blakely will all remain. Expecting Langdon will come in. Could see them considering Grey and/or Tucker as well. Wouldn't be against upgrading Tanner and giving him a shot. Then again I wouldn't be that against throwing Apeness in the deep end as a stay-at-home deep forward that can pinch hit in the ruck - but perhaps a bit too early, probably needs 3-4 games at Peel before he is ready. Also, wouldn't mind giving Collins a debut given the Box Hill/Hawks connection. Clancee and de Boer probably deserve a game as well. Way too many ins in that lot. Suspect we'll only make 2-3 changes from all that.

Have no idea who they will drop though. Think Sheridan needs some time in the WAFL to re-find some touch. Have no idea who else.

Yeah mate I think two PCL operations hasn't helped. Yep we won't get anything but I doubt teams are going to be throwing money at him.

Even in his earlier days he'd play a great game then follow it up with some weak performances.

Apeness has only played 3/4 of a reserves game. Will prob need 4 solid games of Seniors. He will be in the side just after the bye I reckon. If we can get 8-10 games into him this year would be huge

Ross hinted that he needed a month at WAFL in an interview last week. So agree with just after the bye. Hopefully we get a few players back around then.

By the way do you realise that uber disposal go up double after been move to halfback?

No one suggesting dropping Dawson or bringing in Apeness after a WAFL 2nds game. Have all the bandwagoners and morons left the forum?

In - Clarke, Clancee, Langdon
Out - Crozier, Sutcliffe, Hughes

Clarke? Really?

This guy has no heart, sure his knees are done but he doesn't have the will to be competitive. No point investing time into players who can't even compete with an older guy like Griffon.

Croziers reading of the ball and subsequent mark in front of goal is exactly one of the reasons he needs to stay in and be persisted with

Exactly, we can all see his potential but most want him dropped.

His work rate is never going to be exceptional, but he can kick goals which is very important.

Very very sadly I have no basis and no argument left to retain Crozier. It is hard to argue that practically anyone else could have more impact than his 8 odd possessions.

Don't think you should be calling anyone a moron if you think Clarke needs to come back in.

We had half a dozen people with 8 odd possessions yesterday, and not all of them were in the forward line. Why single out Crozier?

Because thats his normal output. He doesn't do enough ,blind Freddie can see that.

This, and I am one of the supporters who loves it when he gets possession, something positive usually happens but no matter where Ross plays him he just disappears for large patches of games.

Take for example the last game, such a positive start and then he totally disappears yet again.

Why on earth would you drop Hughes? He is exactly the sort of player we need in our backline and the more exposure we give him the faster he'll get up to speed. Ross made a point of saying they want to keep him in in his presser.

I'm also in the camp that says keep Crozier in. The things he does do are excellent even if they are few and far between. I would just play him all year and see what happens.

I don't care where they play Ueber, he's a development prospect. I think it makes sense to try him both forward and back to see what he can offer in either position. We almost certainly won't see him debut this year. He needs another pre-season to work on his fitness etc. He's shown potential in both positions before. Ideally we need someone with his attributes at both ends of the ground. He needs to get his body right first imo. In the meantime I'm all for playing him as a swingman. The best key defenders know how to play forward, so it won't hurt.

OK then, I just mentioned it that's all.your are the so called experts.

He's getting old, his kicking has been shit, it's a long way away, we need a second ruck and Tanner Smith is playing well and is healthy?

In that case, we might as well retire him.
I don't think he's that bad. Nothing can be done about his age and how far away it is isn't relevant.
We won't be playing in finals and therefore no need to conserve players.
Probably more value in having his experience out there for guidance of the younger blokes; If we bring in Tanner it would probably be of benefit to have Pav alongside him.
