Cutler has missed quite bit of football and he's not an experienced player yet. I reckon he would play a reserves game first.
Only missed 4 games. He was among our better players for 3 or so weeks before his injury. Could possibly return from the reserves but I'd like to see him straight back in.

Providing it's not too much longer, I think he'll come straight in. We look so stagnate without him. Crazy as it sounds, as he has only played handful of games. He is the type of player we don't have much of.

Does anyone know how long Gardiner is out for? I suspect it will be at least 3 or so weeks due to the extent of the injury. Sure it was only a finger injury but wasn't it a compound fracture? Sounds nasty.

I hope I'm wrong but N Robbo looked to pull up lame in a chase about six minutes from full time. Was immediately benched and stayed until the siren.

May have been cramp or something, but could have been more?

Unfortunately what we need we haven't got and that is quality users.

We can give maximum effort week in week out but we will still turn the ball over consistently and our backs just cant deal with the repeated entries, I don't think they were all that bad today our backs. Beaten but not humiliated.

When you're at the game and can see the whole field - once we turn it over you look up the field and can see what's about to unfold.

Teams just know we'll cough it up more often than not.

When the ball is in dispute, we cannot seem to be able to stop the ball getting out. The amount of times the ball was released from congestion then out to a free demon, countless.

Cleaned skilled classy players on the wish list.

I'd be holding back Rocky til the Blues game at least, can't risk him making the injury even worse. It's a tough spot though - he's had a crap run but we definitely need him out there.

Based on what I saw today, I would drop Christensen and Merrett and Lester and Harwood and rest Hanley. We are going to get belted next week and there is nothing we can do about that.

Merrett is our most experienced defender and the rest of our defenders have a hell of a lot of learning to do. Dropping him would only make it harder on the players around him. His form doesn't deserve a game but we have nothing left.

Does it really matter if he doesn't play for a while?....it aint like we are going to win a game soon..

Lester may have been good in patches, but my god, some of his elementary errors were deplorable i.e. spilling simple uncontested marks, particularly the one in front of the MCC which was a standout.

Hanley is busted, Schache is tired and I don't think we need 2 Rucks for this one.
Thats rubbish about Hanley. He isn't going to be the Hanley of a few years back after major hip surgery but he was one of the few players yesterday willing to take the game on and make things happen. He had 22 disposals off half back yesterday far from our worse.

I don't agree. He certainly looked like he was playing through injury yesterday. He had a dip but he's struggling overall. Well be low his best.
