Ins: Winderlich, Hille, Welsh
Outs: Bradley, Bolton, Dyson

Also depends on who goes well for Bendigo this weekend. Will be very interestedin the result. Hope JJ has a cracker.

Out: Bradley, Bolton, Laycock, Watson, Heff

In: NLM, Winderlich, Houli, Hille, JJ

Ive been one to keep faith in Bradley and I do hope he turns it around, but he keeps disappointing me. Bolts aint up to it, Laycock needs a lot more urgency in his game and Watson needs to gain some confidence with his kicking.

Assuming the 5 inclusions are fit, I think they add more to the team. NLM is one of my favourites, Winders has been impressive, lets give Houli a chance to show what his got on the main stage and Hille needs to the play the way he did for the 1st half against the Saints.

I think we should stick with Johns, Dyson and Slattery, all add something to the team and I feel are worth persisting with. Johns led well, our delivery was poor, Dyson got the ball with room to run, his kicking needed a bit of poise but his capable, Slattery has that versatility of playing back or running with a tag job.

Nothing against Heff, but I think there is only room for one of he and Pev in the team

We moved away from our gameplan on Anzac day. We rushed and kicked to contests. We didnt slow things down, wait for the right option and use it. The selection table killed us. Way too top heavy. Dunno what they were thinking after selecting well the first 3 rounds.

B Ryder Mal MJ

HB McPhee Fletch NLM

C Lovett JJ Dyson

HF Davey Lucas McVeigh

F Johns Lloyd Monfries

R Hille Winderlich Stanton

INT: Houli, Pev, Hird, Slattery

Really? I think this will be tougher than Richmond (X2), Kangas, Brisbane (home) Melbourne (TD), Doggies (dome), Collingwood, Adelaide (dome). That means we have 8 winnable games, plus the 2 Hawks games, plus the 3 we have, which gives us 13 wins. I'm not saying that we are going to win them, but they games which we should be able to compete very well. Also chuck the geelong game in for good measure.

My sentiments exactly. I only think there'll be no more than 3 unforced changes and these are the players who I think will trade places in the team.

The team, while deflated from losing to the Pies on Wednesday, will still be confident from their 3 wins this season. So making too many changes and taking MJ, Heffernan or Slattery out could do more harm than good. Heff and Slatts don't deserve to be omitted IMO anyway.

This weekend will be crucial to pretty much all selections and will no doubt inflate the list of possible players hoping to play their first AFL game this year.

At the moment, the general consensus has been that while Gumbleton has done well so far, he'd be better off dominating in the VFL before he gets a look at. Well I'm of the feeling that if he manages 4 or more goals and gets in the best again, he'll have to be picked. This will make it easier to rest Hille for another week if his hammy warrants resting.

I hope Andrew Lee, who is effectively only in his 2nd season of playing, (he was injured for about 90% of his first season), plays well enough to warrant selection. This will free up the confident Ryder to be used in the ruck with Laycock.

Lonergan, Hislop, Houli, Hocking and Reimers are being primed as our next generation of midfielders. The thing is, their ages are 20, 18,18,19 and Reimers only turned 18 in January. Even if they get picked, Sheedy will NOT play them for more than half a game. He's notorious for that so their impact will be minimal early on. These guys are not going to turn a game off their own boots early on. I hope I get proven wrong.

Good idea, apart from the last 2 words. I realise it might be better to rest Hille for another week, but hopefully we dont need to. I think Lee needs to be give more game time than Laycock because we will be depending on him to step up sooner than Laycock.

Top Idea BurnleyBomber.

I think every game in Melbourne is at least winnable, if we play well we can even take it up to teams like the Eagles at the Dome, we did last year and we were playing a lot worse than we are this year. I think we will win more games we shouldn't and lose a few more we probably should.

Hawthorn maybe. They've been lifting for us the last few years, which is a good effort on their behalf considering the shite contests they had with us the years before that.

We'll beat richmond once. Norf, who knows. Melbourne we should, as with brisbane. Adelaide will end out 17 year unbeaten melbourne run.

This is one of the few winnable games we have left.

This is just pessimism. We're not talking flags but there is still a decent possibilty of a top 8 finish. 3-2 is not that bad, we've won more than we've lost and that's all we've got to do to make the finals. Sure, we went down to Collingwood but that can easily be put down to such a short break limiting our running game plan whereas for Collingwood, with their chipping game plan, it had much less of an impact. As for the Carlton game, we weren't beaten by a superior side but by a temporary break down that surely isn't going to happen very often. We weren't obviously outclassed in either of our losses.

I don't mind people trying to take the hard line but don't take things too far. A lot is still looking up for the Bombers and, with some handy players returning from injury, this is definately not one of the few winnable games we have left.

Has to get out of his report first and the VFL tribunal is known for its dodgy decisions. Particualry those against AFL listed players. He may have one thing in his favour , the incident was directly in front of where the Port Melb and Bendigo camera's where so it should be on video.

In : Houli
Out : I don't care.. just bring in Houli.

Surely must get a run in the seniors now. We are crying out for a player of his ilk. A midfielder with a good motor, skills and pace.

He might not be ready yet but I'll guarantee you he'll give us more value than Dyson and one or two others.

SAY YES TO HOULI 2007

JJ and Campo would be in front of him.

We should be picking the team based on form, dont care if they're fit they should earn selection like Houli has.

JJ and Campo would still help us win AFL matches more than Houli would at this stage, that is what we should be looking at. The both would know where to be evry minute of the game, where to run, what to do at stoppages, Houli has played 3 VFL games and although he has shown he can get it is still spraying some kicks here and there, plenty of time to play him, IMO I'd wait a little longer, I'd rather play a JJ, if later we are out of the finals race (god forbid we aren't) then I'd probably play him every week.

No they wouldn't....

JJ is a tried and true performer, so we know what to expect from him. Campo at least looks like he is able to play senior football, and the match committee would be looking to show the rest of the competition that. Houli has time and youth on his side to develop his game.

Franklin doesn't mark the ball, just sits off the pack for the crumbs. :p

I'm pretty sure I saw Lloyd doing this on ANZAC day. What's worse, he should have handballed it to Davey. Pretty sure he didn't touch it after that (not counting the soft free kicks in the first quarter).

See you clowns on Saturday.
