Geez I would love to have a good old fashioned 12 goal win, feel like it's just the time for it to break the cycle too

I'll take just cracking the ton for a change.

Scoring across the comp has become so dour that the campaigners at AFL HQ almost need to offer a gimmicky bonus point for any team that breaks 100.

Bring back the wizard cup supergoal.

The problem is that the easiest way to boost your percentage isn’t to score more - it’s to keep the opposition score low.

Slow, low scoring games are also the easiest way for average sides to stay in the game longer.

Been saying for years they should scrap percentage and simply make it points differential.

Wasn't the only logic behind percentage to mitigate poor weather conditions?

Always found it stupid people complaining about that. There's so much unfair shit in the AFL anyway why wouldn't you wanna encourage more scoring

Not sure - I presumed it was primarily to enable the separation of teams with the same points.

How would you decide who played finals if 2 teams finished 8th / 9th and had the same points?

Plenty of ways:head to head ,then you could do Head to head points for and against if one all.

Isn't the likelihood of that incredibly low?

Hawthorn got pumped by freo by 62 points. I expect this game will be tight because we can't pump teams. Melbourne by 9 points with a sealing goal with 1 minute on the clock.
You should thump us by 100+, we've lost 2 of our best defenders possibly 3 if the other doesn't return + 3 more of our best players are out all defenders and that's not even counting Gunston/Wingard etc. Genuine 100+ smashing probs 150+. We're also 17th.

Tbh i remember watching him at Melbourne and we got him and i was like, "FK!, what's gonna happen". But tbh his ball use is much improved barring the odd short bullet attempt gone wrong, Frost ball usually works and suits our run.
He's genuinely in career best form, does not lose a single 1on1. You guys are very lucky to have him and I'm glad you appreciate his goatness a lot more than us salty dees fans.

Love him, gives his heart each week, superb mark above his head, takes it and runs and gets us going either in attack or he does the one percenters, spoiling and intercept marking.
