Confusing post. As depth players they are handy. Having to play that many depth players because we have again failed to address our injury issues is the problem.

The point I was trying to make is that they wouldn't make the list of another AFL side..

Every club has spuds that get a game each week. Even West Coast played Petruccelle and Jones, who are just awful footballers. You could argue any of the 6 you named are better footballers than either of those 2.

That's what I thought they should have done yesterday. Risk Betts getting off the leash but getting smashed (literally) in the midfield was more important to stop.

Hawks tall forwards are battling at the moment & they’ve dropped Tim O’Brien. Perfect game to bring in Logue next week to take Ceglar & McEvoy with Cox to take Lewis. They have some dangerous mid & small forwards we must get the match ups right on.
Defensively they have Frost & Hardigan, so Treacy is a no brainer & will go alright against either of those. Sturt in will stretch their defence & if Fyfes in & goes forward from from time to time, they will battle to get a descent match up.

I think you’re close but the numbers don’t quite work as Henry was the sub. You also have two Brayshaw’s and Frederick is missing.

I’m not a massive fan of Giro but he mildly impressed me. Is building into it reasonably well for a bloke that has missed the best part of two years. Not surprised he has missed a few targets. Still a depth player for mine but shouldn’t get dropped after that game.

I’d move Acres to sub. He has been average. Hughes needs to pick up his game as does Conca and he can go to the bench. Henry needs a full game and goes to the WAFL.

The players with “” I’d like to see replaced over the coming weeks with others like Tucker, Crowden, Schultz. Young (to replace Hughes when fit) and a spot for Hamling when he is fit.

The likes of Colyer, Acres, Giro and Hughes from what I have seen are depth players. Crowden from what he showed late last year and this pre-season adds some genuine foot skills and tackling pressure. I like Tucker and we really need him to get over his injury issues.

Conca is the least of our problems.

I'd bring in Fyfe, Sturt and Treacy if all available. Henry takes Schultz's spot for mine.

Something is off with Logue, I doubt we will see him this week. If he is available drop Acres until he learns to attack the football - he improved dramatically after being dropped last year. I think Frederick has been too valuable as a forward over the last few games to take a wing spot, we'd be better off pushing Cerra to more wing time.

Disagree with dropping Meek. Played his third AFL game and despite not performing well, he was at least competitive. He led the side with eight score involvements and centre clearances.

The bulldogs must have persevered with a dozen games worse than that with Tim English.
