Serong was a gun small forward in underage footy apparently.

Isn’t it normal practice for Freo and WC to name squads of 25 and those players listed in that squad of 25 named as WAFL outs? Then on WAFL gameday players are incl.
Treacy, Watson and Fyfe appear to be in.
Schultz, Young and Switta are out with injuries.
Now appears the emergencies are from:
Duman, Blakely and Sturt. Perhaps Duman’s turn to play sub. Sturt and Blakely to be released back to Peel.

Even though the joy of hearing his inclusion ran through me like a cold beer at the end of a hot day, the expectations here are waaaaaaaay too high.
Without wanting to be a fun buster, please remember he is a tall taken in the rookie draft. The chances of him (not even allowing for the shitty weather) kicking multiple goals on debut are almost none.
If he competes, and doesn't look totally out of his league, I'll be grinning like a Cheshire cat.

I think they rate Sturt EXTREMELY highly and the only reason he didnt come straight in last week was conditioning. If Sturt was playing for Peel I think they would have named him there already.
Plus, after watching JL's presser instead of reading the media report, they were clearly 50/50 on Sturt playing. I'm locking Sturt in and I'm ready to have my hopes dashed.

I've seen them twice on TV this year but there's a least about half a dozen players in their current side I wouldn't be able to identify by name.
