Danger game? sounds like your saying where a chance to beat the hawks?

I’ve been critical of Gaff for a while but after watching the game today (couldn’t watch it all last night) I have to say his game was the best I’ve seen for a while. He was trying to link the play quite a bit and seemed to be a bit more adventurous in some of his play rather than just get the cheap kick all the time. Even his kicking was better. I still think I’d be happy if he called time but he does play a role and was one of the Eagles players who chased and put pressure on.there are a few who just stopped but he wasn’t one of them. the young guys like Bazzo and Hough tried their guts out and you have to admire the way Duggan turned his poor form around but there were quite a few who just disappeared. Ryan, Rioli Waterman amount themIn: Exxon, Clark, Cripps
Out: Petch (inj) Gaff (won’t happen but yeah), Foley
Also in: more wrestling gifs, four points.
Would consider Rotham on a wing for the rest of the season too, FWIW.
It’s understandable that Simmo fell in love with the retention at the back gameplan. It won him - us - a flag, after all.
I just think he’s been far too slow adapting when teams adjusted and we became the hunted. We’re the easiest side in the league to plan against I reckon.
We’re seeing some changes in the gameplan now but by gee the teething stage is painful to endure.
We have no depth to our kicking out of defence.Retaining the ball is fine, but we don't do anything with it. We didn't win a flag kicking 20m sideways inside defensive 50. You need to make the ground big.
Look at Carlton, we kick a behind and then 30 seconds later the ball is at the other end in the hands of Curnow or McKay. Doesn't take a bursting run from Saad off half back, just a series of easy 30-40m kicks.
Teams press up on us and we can't execute a switch and create space or pick our way through the zone.
Collingwood got to the same point last year, it's amazing how much they've managed to change in one off-season. Especially with a list that doesn't seem to have a stand-out level of talent on paper.
Simmo has a huge off-season coming up.
wont win with this but sounds like teh way to go - build experience. Thus leave Terw and Foley inOut
Ryan, Pet, Foley, JK, Trew
In
Cripps, O'Neill, Culley, Winder, Clark
Liked what iv'e seen from Trew, but i think he needs a spell in the 2's. Will probably get another couple games this year, needs a full pre season to build his tank and put some muscle on more importantly.wont win with this but sounds like teh way to go - build experience. Thus leave Terw and Foley in
I don't think Trew played all that well on Sunday but then the Blues pressure on mids was fantastic. Replacing him with Winder who did very little in the WAFL seems counter productive, so another game would be the way to go. I haven't been a great fan of Foley as a half back but in the bits he has played as a mid and up forward he's looked heaps better so I'd give him another go as well. If I would be dropping anyone it would be Ryan who just looks to be going at half pace and has lost confidence.wont win with this but sounds like teh way to go - build experience. Thus leave Terw and Foley in
